The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has said that over 1.6 million candidates are expected to write the examination in 602 centres across the country scheduled to hold from March 9 to March 17. The board’s Head of Media and Information Department, Dr Fabian Benjamin said candidates for the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examination (UTME) could start printing their examination notification slip from today. According to him “We have successfully conducted the Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Monday, February 26, and based on that, we can confidently say, we are good to go. “The mock UTME was to expose the candidates to the process as well as test the level of preparedness of the various centres. “Candidates can now go ahead and print their examination notification slips from Tuesday. “These candidates must ensure that these slips are printed before Friday, March 9 in order to familiarize themselves with the examination schedules as no form of excuse for missing the examination will be entertained. “We want to warn that the board will not reschedule any examination for anybody and so any candidate that fails to adhere strictly to the examination schedule as stated in their slips should have himself or herself to blame,” he said. Benjamin, however, warned candidates not to go to their respective centres with prohibited items such as telephones, wristwatches, pens, and other devices.

1.6 million fighting for how many Tertiary-Institution sloths?
Some students would deprive themselves of sleep and take these exams only to be cheated out of their admission (mostly in Post Utme)
Well it's not like those with even a masters degree are faring any better. You see world leaders making laws and tackling real issues for the benefit of citizens and be asking why ours must be different.

Except we vote in leaders that understands grassroot problem, we will never move forward as a nation.
When I talk about grassroot understanding, I'm not referring to a first lady who fries Akara only on campaigns.

But how can we move forward when one tribe votes because it's their brother and another votes based on a degraded VP post.
The situation of the country is in shambles yet the government is supported by some on tribal lines rather than performance.

And 75% of them will be disappointed!
This is not surprising. In 1980 only 16.6% of applicants were admitted; in 1990, 16.9%; in 2000 only 10.7% were lucky and the figure shot to 23% in 2013.

We have a great information about other avenues of getting quality education and wish to disseminate same through a PAID seminar.

We seek sponsors mainly to provide radio and online publicity. Returns of about 150% after about 14 days.

What I see is a country whose only way to success is through the university. We must get to a stage where going to university is a choice. Besides, how many university graduates are successful sef.
So many people have no business with universities, but you know,,, stigma, if they don't go
