This people have killed Nigeria under the watchful eyes of GEJ...

i think the customs are just trying to wake up from their slumber

and to redeem their ole bartered image...

hope the matter is NOT swept under the carpet after some settlements..

His only wrong doing was he don't declare it at point of traveling, beside there is limit to amount of money allowed. But wait oh, what about the case of MTN transferring more than the allowed amount out of the country that senate was investigating 2years ago? Nigeria, we will leave Elephant and start chasing Rat.

There is no limit to the amount of money that can be taken aboard an international flight...the bearer is only required to declare all currencies in the excess of ten thousand dollars or its equivalents to customs who might want to ask about the source of the funds...

Come to think of it...each bundle of that USD is three point six five million naira...see money!!!
You are very correct, no limits to the amount you can carry but you must declare it to customs. In same vain, on entering your destination (I am sure of the US) you have to declare if you are bringing more than $10,000 in cash and goods.

Bros yes it should be like that but the way people are hungry and envious its unbelievable. They would want you to provide source of income and even if you do they would want to cut some from it. However, it doesn't excuse the guy to declare the funds better than getting caught. He's still old school. Customs go take 100k or half that money no doubt.
