About a year ago, a report from HackerRank (a California-based service that runs tests for developers) surfaced and their results contradict your assumption that Indians are good at Programming and Computer Science in General. Are there good/exceptional programmers/developers from India? Yes. Does India have the largest number of good/exceptional programmers? Nope. In fact, India is not even in the top 10 countries with the best computer programmers. It ranks #31. These online tests used for such results are meaningless as you will have to major in every mathematical, engineering and science courses to be able to understand the questions before you can start coding. The coding is child's play for a qualified developer. These coding test should be classed as mathematical, engineering and science competitions instead of a coding test. 1 Like |
