The Edo State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), has vowed to go after pastors that get involved in human trafficking/pray for human traffickers, and sell anointing oil and handkerchief, warning that perpetrators will face the wrath of God if they fail to repent.

The umbrella group for Christians also condemned what it described as the killings by herdsmen in Edo State and other parts of the country, admonishing government to establish cattle ranching, rather than cattle colonies.

Addressing journalists in Benin, the Edo State capital, state Chairman of CAN, Bishop Oriname Kure, who described human trafficking as a sin against God and man, said the activities of traffickers, which had led to deaths of thousands of youths, are worrisome and declared that any pastor involved in the act, either through prayers or directly, is an enemy of the church.
