Its no longer news that the benue state government plans another mass burial for the victims of latest fulani herdsmen attack. What many are however are unaware is the politics that made the government to decide to carry out another mass burial.
The first mass burial was condemned by many including the presidency as mere playing to the gallery and attempt to embarrass the presidency. Never in the history of Nigeria has such a mass burial taken place in full glare of local and international media and its intention is suspect even though the supporters of the government claim its to draw the attention of the world to the 'genocide' going on in benue . But like the president pointed out the number of people that have lost their lives to this attack in taraba is more than that of benue yet there was no mass burial in taraba which is an opposition PDP controlled state. PDP governors and politicians have paid benue state government visits and made donations yet none went to taraba , there was even a thread on that on nairaland.
Agatu was the first place in benue state to come to national limelight due to herdsmen attack . There was a lot of protests by agatu people and sympathizers , lots of hashtags on agatu, lots of sympathies , and conerns was shown by benue state government which took a lot of steps to stop the attacks and alleviate the peoples sufferings
BUT THERE WAS NO MASS BURIAL.
WHY?
It was insinuated that since the people of agatu and zone c (mainly idoma land ) did not vote for
APC they should not expect too much from Apc government.
when the january 2018 incidents occur , it took place in guma and logo LGAs (tiv land ) and before you know it the government has organized mass burial.
WHY?
Most tiv land belongs to Apc.
when the latest incident occured in another part of idoma land people started reading meaning especially when the governor didn't visit until after 2 weeks, in order to save face , the government then decided to organize another mass burial so that people of idoma land will not feel it was only the tivs which are minority that government cares for.

THE MASS BURIAL IS A CHARADE AND NOT OUT OF SYMPATHY FOR THE VICTIMS OR TO CALL THE ATTENTION OF THE WORLD
ITS PURELY POLITICS.

When Nnamdi Kanu said that Nigerians can sometimes reason like animals caged in a zoo, the man was right.

How can one explain a situation where hundreds of men, women and children are slaughtered in Benue by the herdsmen, but what the OP above is far more concerned about is if the mode of their burial is embarassing to Government or not.

Shocking
