The All Progressives Congress (APC), Akwa Ibom State chapter has called on the federal government to intervene in the insecurity rocking three local government areas of the state.


The party, in a statement issued weekend, said it was saddened and worried by the unending orgy of violence, kidnappings and killings that have continued unabated in Etim Ekpo, Ukanafun and Ika Local Government areas of the state in the last two years.

The APC in the statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Mr. Edet Eyo Bassey, noted with concern the alleged apathy reportedly exhibited by the state government towards the resolution of the security challenges in the affected councils.

According to the party, “Reports have it that over 100 people have been killed by rival cult groups allegedly used by the PDP in the last general elections to perpetrate electoral fraud and who now feel abandoned by the politicians.”

It said that thousands of people have been displaced as refugees and were in habitation at internally displaced persons (IDPs) camp hence the federal government’s urgent need to wade into the security situation in the state. (THISDAY)

Its obvious dat these boys were used and abandoned by politicians,

Politicians used these guys during election and abandon them thereafter, they said udom is not doing wat akpabio use to do, as such they need settlement

Those guys were parts of d militants dat operated in d other southern region but when buhari stopped d bunkery n all their activities they decided to go back home n become thieves/criminals in their various domain n dont say y is it happening only around d annang region, first come to ph n go to were u have d highest number of criminal/militancy in ph make ur investigation u will find out that some of them r of annang tribe so it's not everything that is politically related.
