Power Must Remain In The North, Lamido Insists by greenavus: 9:53am On May 01, 2010
The governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido yesterday joined the debate on the retention of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party’s zoning arrangement for the 2011 presidential election, insisting that power must remain in the north.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo had on Thursday in the United States said that PDP’s 2011 presidential ticket had not been zoned to the North and that Acting President Goodluck Jonathan could contest if he so desires.
Apparently reacting to this comment, Lamido disagreed saying that while Jonathan was not barred by the country's constitution, “he is barred by the PDP constitution.” http://www.gistboard.com/content/power-must-remain-north-lamido-insists

Gov. Lamido is talking with the two side of is mouth. If there is any agreement as such in the PDP constitution, how come some southern politicians were allowed to contest the PDP presidential primaries in 2007? What if those southern politicians had won? He for tear him agbada?

When you see a THIEF, you call him/her out in his/her right name. If you don't do so the thief will start thinking that you that did not steal is the real thief.

The NORTH are one hell of a POLITICAL SCAMMER and for too long we in the south are the MUGU'S. we kept playing by the North rules.

PDP 'gentleman zonal arrangement' is the continuation of the North scam on the south. The North came up with that nonsense because of their 'born to rule' mentality after the death of MKO ABIOLA, THAT IS WHY THEY CHOOSE obj SO THEY CAN HAVE HIM AS THEIR TOOL AND IT BACKFIRED.

That so called agreement is neither in the PDP or Nigeria constitution. even if it is in the PDP constitution, the last time i checked PDP is not the only party in Nigeria.

They are trying different political 419 which they have been doing before Nigeria independence. because we in the south do not have uniformed agreement, they used the division against us.

Lamido ( i almost thougt he was our CBN prince)is being selfish as usual with the north but he is equally insane.  A good person or leader in the 21st century will asked for agood leader irrespective of which georaphical zone, tribe, gender or religion such leaders come from. Unforunatelty a foolishman cannot come out with anything other than foolishness.

Rochas Okorocha (south) came second in 2007 PDP primaries

Barnabas Gemade (North) took part in 2003 Primaries

Abubakar Rimi (North) took part in 1999 PDP primaries

So if they have any rules about zoning it is simply not binding within thee party because these votes for these fellows above were recognised.

Why can't Jonathan or anyone else for that matter from the South be one of the above?
