If they were fleeing from it, lagos and other major cities will not empty out during xmas & new year. From my relations with other non-igbos its actually yorubas that flee from your hometown & refuse to return even after death. Lagos is just a conduit pipe to move profits from biz venture back home. I don't understand what you guys mean by develope your region? Igboland is very developed. In fact its the most developed in the southern region(except for Lagos ofcourse) You can't compare villages & towns in yorubaland or ND to that of igboland. I honestly don't understand what igbo people are looking for in lagos. 65% of imported goods into nigeria ends up in south-east meaning the purchasing power is there. With the way igbos have developed their towns and communities personally, if the state govrs were doing their work, no igboman will leave igboland.
