With all the billions in IGR, trillions in debt and billions monthly allocation + being surrounded by numerous lakes, seas, Oceans Lagos still can't provide water for Ifako. The good residents of lagos state have used to resources to develope 75% of lagos while the LASG keep stealing like a cleptomaniac. |
Village pipu saw an opening and took it. If only osimen can be clinical like this |

Mohammed heard from demons and familiar spirits who lied to him that it was Gabriel. Mohammed was the anti-chrisg been spoken about. |
ivandrag0n:This is just textbook definitions. The economies of scale in mergers benefit mostly manufacturing companies or commerce based companies. Banks are service companies and their economies of scale might even be negatively affected because costs have doubled with staff having duplicate functions. Below is a disadvantage of mergers according to CFI- the owners of CFA certification. Now who's illiterate

Elobolo:Ask anybody you know who worked in Acces bank- I don't mean tellers. The organizational culture of Access was quite different than that of DB. Access recruited at most 24 entry level while DB was 30. Access had younger managers and brighter brains who had ethics DB did not have any of those. In fact while most AB loans were performing that of DB was not. Many of their staff had wrecked the bank by profiting of the bad loans and it was definitely a no-brainer for Access to retain them. Many DB peeps took the cash offer of AB and resigned others took their chances and still got fired. Most of the senior managers & EDs now of access bank are access core staff, what happened to that of DB. See ehn there's something called comparative management- it means that a mgt theory though correct might not necessarily work when employed. The biz mgt books will tell you that merger will bring more biz, gbogbo, but you have to compare it with naija situation. Imagine the overhead costs banks are running. GTB & AB lay-off every year (dey say it's those whose appraisal fall below acceptable limit ) If they lay-off their own people to keep costs down how much more one small bank like Wema or Sterling that they acquire/merged just to meet CBN directive? Lots of people will lose their jobs as it is withergers and acquisitions |
Zxcvbnmghtr:The British army Is an independent organization therefore the decision would have come from d military brass not necessarily the PM. The PM though in control does not really concern itself with military etiquette |
ppogba:Ok Mr smart man, what is the essence of the recapitalization and why exclude BDCs and micro-finance banks from it? I was going to take on you further but when you said capital appreciation I realised that you are an illiterate. Access bank share price was 9.75 on 1st January 2014 now it stands at 10. How much appreciated for someone who invested 10 million 10 years ago? What is now the value of his 10.75m in our present economy compared to it 10 years ago? Would he have made more money investing his 10 mill in maybe a landed property or even FG issued bonds at 13% p.a? You are financially illiterate to even discuss with me. I mean for you to even say capital appreciation in shares or stock trading don't you know that share prices fluctuate and if you invest today you could make a killing tomorrow but lose over 10 years? Olodo |
Svoboda:Yes there were. Access bank did it silently and methodically |
Dobodobo04:I say daft because he knows the excess money not in the banking system is in the hands of politicians, friends & cronies they printed the money for not the average working class. The previous recapitalization was to sanitize the banking industry that had several banks failing and loosing clients deposits. Funds were raised in the previous recapitalization through IPO(shares) & everyday nigerians bought those share which eventually turned out profitable because zenith, UBA/STB, Diamond, ICB, GTB & Access emerged stronger. The idiot is only recapitilizing so that CBN can have cheap funds to play with and mismanage at the detrement of unemployment. Do you even understand the multiplier effect of this policy, many bankers will japa and take away our funds to other European, Canadian & American economies, thus reducing our GDP. This Is a very wrong move. Also what about micro-finance banks and BDCs they don't need recapitalization too? |
Honestly this CBN governor is just very clueless! Where will commercial banks get the funds from? Even if they issue IPO how many nigerians can purchase and for what exactly? Why would any nigerian wan to tie their funds as shares?Does this fool even realise that the eventual acquisitions will lead to lay-offs? Thereby increasing the unemployment situation in a country where farming is basically a deadly job? Gosh! Why can't he instead issue federal govt bonds at massive interest rate like 15% so that he can mop up excess liquidity in the economy thereby dropping inflation? Then govt invest the funds into capital projects? |
Lanre1st:Many of the jews left Israel to Europe because when the Ottoman empire took over after Saladin won the crusades for the Muslims, jews were persecuted and their land forcefully taken and given to arabs. In fact even after the Ottoman empire fell, & Britain was in control of Israel there were numerous pogroms against the natives of the land that Israel begged for a 2-state solution just so that they can have peace but the Arabs refused, so many eventually left to Europe. Palestine was never a land to palestinians. Mind you it wasnt only israel that was invaded & forcefully taken over by ottaman arabs, North-Africa suffered worse such that almost 90% of the negro population were wiped out. It's like saying after the biafra civil war, abokis took over houses of ndigbo and basically populated igboland. Den children of ndigbo left their places abroad and came home to fight and get their own country will you say the land belonged to abokis because they lived there for 100 years? |
Everyone notice how EFCC has been so silent that I don't even know the name of the chairman. |
Honestly if there were no yoroMuslims, the south would have long left the contraption called Nigeria. These yoromuslims have severe inferiority complex to northerners. Bandits that have cashed out already, killing villagers & monarchs in yorubaland like mosquitoes. Na dis wan be d yorobastardo |
madridguy:E dey pain dis wan say dem no give am SA appointment. Lol Sapa don reset him brain ![]() |

Please can I get a divorce, I can't deal with this anymore, I only care for my daughter These words would ensure they contribute equally to the raising of their daughter even if she get children from other men. The begging part is to ensure the wife doesn't lie in court that he's abusive and violence , and d divorce part is to let the judge know that he knew she was cheating and wanted out but only had to confirm. Guys naija ain't yankee. There are some licenses and cerritificates you get you can't even get into a fight. E.g Licence to posses and carry, once you fight or road rage up its taken from you for ever |
The people in pity the most are bankers & salary earners who saved and bought land in those places. So basically the entire Lekki/Ajah is suspect. O warned one of my igbo colleagues about investing in Lagos but the efulefu no hear. Now he wan sell property nobody wan buy |
The one from NW will eventually become supreme court judge |

How many times will tinubu Celebrate 72 bd? |
From this woman's story its quite understandable why yoruba men with money run to marry igbo women. Their women can't simply keep Pucci in one place. Always hoeing around because of money and using juju to tie their men. No wonder.. |
They got up too quick in my opinion |
4 dis heat you dey wear black, ur cult wicked oo |
With all the trillions in debt, Huge IGR and Federal allocations Lagos still no reach. The sad part about it is that 70% of its development is from efforts of private businesses, and good residents. Lagos corruption is like a rotten food placed under a carpet and left for days. When you eventually raise it up to clean you find maggot instead of food |
D dead one is massively flexing with mohammed and the virgins at the mo. Whats the similarities between terrorists and ronu miscreants? They are cowards! |
