As the information on the plan to increase tuition fee in Ondo State-owned institutions especially Adekunle Ajasin Varsity gets thickened, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN has been advised to face Mass Industrialization.

This call was made by Comrade Ajewole Oluwatosin (AWO), the Treasurer of National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS) Ondo States Axis.

He said "attention has been drawn to the proposed hike in the tuition fees of State owned tertiary institutions which kick started with Ondo State University of Technology (OSUTECH) with fresh students paying #250,000 as school fees. And it is mooted in that Dr. Tunji Abayomi, Chairman of Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba (AAUA) Governing Council, said school fees will be increased by over 500 percent."

He registered his displeasure over the Akeredolu's government that should have given more than it's doing now.

Comr. Ajewole maintained that the Ondo State has failed students and the plan to to increase AAUA by 500% is irresponsible.

He said "To say I am disappointed is the least I can come up with as I never expected much good from Aketi's Israel - just as Ondo State citizens now understand that the State 419ism of the saillion
king misgovernment."
"Ondo State government has failed the students mass at large. It is
abominable and certainly not acceptable as it is a stark demonstration of recklessness and irresponsibility for any government to increase school fee by over 500 percent. Mr. Governor, this is gross abuse of power tilted towards making the masses pay for their lack of discerning powers for choosing you ahead of others during the last guber poll."

The Comrade reminded Governor Akeredolu of his promises during the election campaign but lamented that he is doing contrary.

" You promised us good governance, but you are blessing us with insecurity. Implementation of this devilish increment only means we will have more illiterates and drop outs in our dear Sunshine State and this only
portends doom and gloom," Comr. Ajewole said.

He added that " No doubt, ODSG is suffering from paucity of funds to manage the institutions but a leader should face mass industrialization."

The Ajasin Varsity Comrade advised the Govenof to revive "Owena Holdings; Ifon Ceramic; Araromi Rubbers; Okitipupa Oil Palm; Arigidi Tomatoes Paste; Oluwa Glass; and Cocoa industries, saying that "Only two of these working fully can help to offset unemployment and wage bills that are currently used as excuse by a government that has made multiples of what it met in the state coffers."

He however told the Governor to remember the legacy of past leaders and any attempt to perform unbearable will cause havoc in the state.

In his words "forget not the AAUA is a legacy bequeathed to us by Adefarati, Agagu and Mimiko. Any attempt to take it beyond reach will only spell doom as you might have to double your security vote after the increment."
