Senator Enyinnaya Harcourt Abaribe is a house hold name across the federation, not because he is a ranking senator and one time spokesman of the red chambers, but his vociferous and courageous challenge against the anomaly and injustice in the system had won him a prime position in the heart of Nigerians across tribes, religion and political affiliation.

This senator from Abia state may no longer be classified to be a senator of Abia south senatorial zone, but will best be described as a senator for Ndi Igbo, because of the way he stood in defense of the Igbo cause even when many were petrified to stand and defend the challenge thrown to ndi Igbo.

Senator Abaribe stood firm, threw caution to the wind and ensured that Igbos were not disgraced, he stood bail at the risk of going to jail or losing his bond to secure the freedom of our son Nnamdi Kanu, a move that haters of the igbo nation has not forgiven him till date, given the present circumstances the Igbos found themselves today within the context of Nigerian political space, it will be risky to shut out or sacrifice the only heroic voice of the Igbo man from the senate on the altar of politics.

We are aware that his recent outburst against the I AM NOT AWARE STANCE OF THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF may not just go without victimizing him, he today remains the lone voice in the wilderness for the Igbos, we all are aware that there are attempts to break Senator Ekweremadu using the Code of Conduct Tribunal, While Senator Dino Melaye is facing trial for arming of thugs, Senator Saraki is at the moment being tossed up and down with the instrumentality of the CCT, and senator Abaribe and shehu Sani happens to be the standing conscience of the nation.

Today Enyinnaya Abaribe is not only an asset to the nation, he is also a quintessential voice of the Igbos in the red chambers, the country and the Igbo nation needs him now that our existence as a people is challenged with insecurity and poor leadership, we cannot afford to trade our collective destiny on the altar of rotation, truth is that in representation, experience counts and going by every reasonable assessment, Senator Abaribe has effectively and effectually represented his people.

Abia south senatorial zone and indeed ndi Abia will be doing our selves, ndi Igbo, and the nation in general a great deal of disservice by sacrificing our experienced and erudite senator and defender of Igbo cause for a green horn who does not possess the capacity, experience, connections and bravery Ndi Igbo and Nigeria needs to tackle the present challenges being faced by the nation.
