since i unlocked d modem, e no de gree browse again even wit d mtn sim. I put in my glo sim which is on glo always micro wit d necessary configurations but it still wouldn't browse because mtn is the default browser. I tried to change d default browser but i couldn't find the place to do it as its not in the connection or network settings. Anyone got d clue to this problem?  |

oweniwe: Have you checked your network profile configurations for the different networks you are trying to use with the modem? That is where you should look, bro. Nothing else would make that modem not work |

I actually created a new profile for glo but since mtn is the default profile, it wouldn't browse and as i said earlier, i don't know how to set or change d default browser. So how make i do am?  |

. . . . . how hard can it be. . . .if uv created the glo profile like u said. . . .when the dashboard comes, select the profile from the drop-down box. glo should be there. |

I did all that. The configuration is ok. It is just that when it get to actual modem connection to the internet, the whole process will hang. Its like this: GLO 3G: ok umts verification: ok check on configuration: ok connecting to the internet. . . : modem hangs. Even For 20 mins, it wouldn't connect. Hope u understand. I guess maybe its coz i don't hav d dailing number. If i use mtn's *99# for glo, it'll fail to connect. Wat's glo's dailing number? What i need to know is, HOW TO CHANGE THE DEFAULT PROFILE coz as mtn is the modem's default profile, it cannot browse wit glo. |

If glo's profile doesn't appear in the drop-down box. . . . . then U have not created a profile for glo. |

^^ insert another network sim into the modem and put it into your computer. The modem i'll request for unlock code. Type in the code <usually 8 digit> and click ok. That's all puskin: wetin na? I say i don create a new profile for glo and it appears in the drop down box but unless i REMOVE MTN WHICH IS DEFAULT PROFILE, it can't browse wit glo. I ask again: HOW DO I CHANGE A MODEM'S DEFAULT PROFILE? |

U funny. Click on the drop-down box and select glo. NB: I hope ur glo SIM has been configured for 3G. |

I'm making this post with my glo sim on phone so d talk about my glo sim not being activate wit 3G is nut of place. Ok, let me giv u another example. If u hav a unlocked zain modem, and the modem's default profile is zain WAP, if u put in a mtn sim with necessary configurations and then connect to the net wit the mtn profile, the modem WILL NOT browse coz zain is the modem's default profile. Now my question is, how do u change the modem's default profile from zain to mtn so that the modem can browse wit mtn sim? Hop u understand better now |

oweniwe: I don't tink the bolded above is correct. I unlocked my Zain modem with the key graciously supplied by shilohboy, and have since been browsing happily with my mtn sim, even tho zain is still the default profile. all i did was to create Mtn profile and then select it when using my mtn sim and it browsed. My own problem however is with glo. after creating the proflie and inserting the parameters (apn gloflat), it keeps telling me error code619, a connection to the remote computer could not be established. what could be the problem? |
