I have come to the conclusion that anybody who wants a 3g/3.5g modem should buy a universal modem. Although you will unlock your mtn or glo modem successfully, they will never connect. I just wasted 5k on a glo modem that just doesn't connect after unlocking this successfully.

In your settings>network settings> mode preference.
what do you have ticked there? Automatic/3g only/2g only?, 3g only/3g preferred?
