First of all before one insults anyone based on his opinion or courage to speak the obvious, one must assess himself objectively whether he is human or subhuman. General T Y Danjuma openly express the complicity of military in handling crises and because of the rot in the security system, he categorically said in a convocation lecture that everybody should defend himself using all means. Is the convocation lecture meant for his tribe or the university and all people attending from different parts of Nigeria? It was an avenue to say his words to the hearing of every Nigerian and world over.

If his statement were meant for his tribe, he has other ways of telling them and not during a convocation ceremony. Is there anything wrong with what he said or is it new? No, it is a common problem that all people in crises areas could tell, for example, the only time the people of Maiduguri stopped the military from breaking their houses, arbitrarily arresting and killing their youths under the pretext of fighting boko haram was when they initiated the concept of civilian JTF to defend themselves.

Was it not the same military that killed over 1000 civilians (men, women (young and old), children and even infants in Zaria in December, 2015 under the watch and approval of the president? Amongst all the people criticising TY Danjuma today, how many of them did not celebrate Zaria genocide?where were the journalists, pressmen and big degrees in the north then? They were all praising the Zaria genocide and fabricating lies to defend it. So since you all justify the crimes committed by the military in your domain, do you expect General T Y Danjuma to behave like you? So where exactly did T Y Danjuma went wrong? If you are directly or indirectly an accomplice to genocide, what credentials and moral quality do you have to criticise the one who came out to say the truth.. If you are good in telling lies and defending it, truth is a secondary issue to you.

In Nigeria of today, when someone speaks, people consider your tribe and religion before they answer you but not the weight of your message because they put their sentiments first before anything else. Who can deny the fact that a military General in the position of TY Danjuma is a defence expert, and so if a person of his caliber loose confidence in the security system, then there is a big problem that is worth investigating because experience is the best teacher. You don't expect everyone to be silent on pressing national issues because the project Nigeria is beyond the ambition of anybody. Nigeria is meant for all and therefore everyone has a say in building and maintaining the country
