1999? Buhari and obasanjo?
God will help you.
But before he does help you ... you need to take a chill pill and Maybe for once think of how and what you can do for Nigeria.. it does not necessarily have to be the other way round all d time.
: the Vp’s name is Osinbajo

Sorry for your Dad's condition but you have said it in your deposition. A diabetic patient not taking medications is bound to have such complications.
No Doctor aims to just want to amputate a limb, it's only done when the limb might be a threat to life.
I wish a speedy recovery to your Dad

grandstar:

I just came back home from the hospital where I spent 3 days with my dad who is diabetic and has a wound on his leg.

In Ondo town, when the wound first developed, he was taken to Trauma in Ondo town where he was treated and the wound healed.

However, soon after my dad was discharged, he refused taking his medication and the sore retruned.
\
We brought him to LUTH in Lagos. My dad bluntly refused to be placed in the public ward and hence we had to pay through the nose for the private ward at 42,500 a night a room and 25,000 per consultant visit.

Despite all that cost, my dad almost lost his foot and eventually would have been his leg.

I suspect that they had already concluded an amputation of the entire leg was the only option from the word go.

We had to rush my dad to a specialist clinic who are trying to salvage the foot. He has lost the 2 toes due to the poor treatment at LUTH.

His foot may be salvaged eventually and we are finally getting there.

Those doctors at LUTH can be heartless

I do accept my dad's part in the whole saga but the toes could still easily have been salvaged if treated properly.

Where he he is now, he is taking a powerful antibiotic which cost us 165,000 for 10 tablets but has succeeded in not only stopping the spread of the germs, but also to reducing the area they controlled. They spiraled out of control in LUTH. His legs got swollen there. The swelling has now gone and the legs back to size. I hate looking at my dads foot when unbandaging at the hospital.

Doctors don't just amputate someone's leg.
There are standard protocols to follow before a decision to cut or not to cut is made.
Don't put out wild allegations on this forum.
You're not an orthopaedic surgeon.......I'm not even sure you're in the medical field, so keep your opinions to yourself.
Cheers
bro you don't need to be in medical field before this 'truth" to observable to you in it most glaring form. if you need any further prove to agree with that bruv, visit FEDERAL MEDICAL CENTER OWO, in Ondo state and try to invistigate this and clear the facade of government health facility in Nigeria. tho I'm not trying to generalise...... peace

The only reasons why Nigerian doctors opt for amputation is simply because Nigeria doesn't have facility for reconstructive surgery, the other reason might involve if the person has diabetes or if that limb is dead then amputation can't be avoided, also its very true Nigerian doctors can be harsh but I can point out, it mostly by the old nurses
