You're totally correct but, ONLY in theory and on paper BUT, in reality... it's totally different. In a capitalist economy that we live in... the laws are made to favor the top guns 90% of the time.

It's not abt my opinion. It is what it is... REALITY!
your opinion is plausible but you have to understand he won a case against crime, stood up for integrity, which a bulk of us would have simply joined the band wagon.
The rate at which our morals are decaying is at the speed of light, oliseh should be hot cake honest employers should scramble for but the question is how many employers are honest.

Anyway, Congrats on the legal victory BUT... good luck finding another coaching job in Europe, Asia and Americas. undecided

You created a bad impression/image (regardless of the circumstance) of yourself, the moment you go legal with your employers. It's a Capitalist world... Hire /fire at will or discretion, even contracts are NOT restricted within this confinement.

Go ask all the top, top European coaches (Mourinho, Capello, et al...). Your best bet is to have negotiated a lucrative term in the contract agreement so it won't get to this stage.

Please, it's NOT about race else, he won't have gotten the job in the first place. shocked

Remember, Talent can ONLY take you this far... Attitude/Character/Personality will take you very, very far!

In Yoruba, we say: "Eefin n'iwa... Iwa l'ewa" cool meaning.... Your attitude (good/bad) is like a smoke... A good attitude is a beauty to behold.

Goodluck! wink
Yeah right. He should just keep quiet after being treated unfairly? Guess what? There are plenty other employers who would snap him up just for this act alone + the victory. Know your self worth.

It's always good to get your facts right. Firstly Oliseh never sued Fortuna Sittard. It was the club that took the case to the League's court to demand termination of Oliseh's contract . Remember after the club announced his suspension on the grounds of inadmissible actions, Oliseh claimed it was because he refused to be part of a fraudulent arrangement.
Now the ruling of the court that Oliseh 'has not acted as a bad employee' and that the club 'has nit acted as a good employer' should have told you that this is not the end of this story and there are more to it than you know presently.
Not often we see clubs sack a coach who took them from relegation zone to a position for qualification to the country's top flight league football on the grounds of insubordination while the league is still on. It smacks of desperation on the part of the club; being ready to toil with their present fantastic form. Are you saying if it was a match fixing arrangement Oliseh should have consented? And if he is victimised for not consenting he should keep quiet? The world rots because people advocate for silence over condemnable incidences.

@ bolded. If that's true... what and where are the criminal charges against them? In that case, they should be punished as needed and fined accordingly. But there's more to Oliseh's claim than what's being propagandized. lipsrsealed

Till that happens, I think it's more of a corporate etiquette / ethos issue (Not always right from a private individual perspective) but, it's become corporate ethos and norm. Sad but, true nevertheless... undecided

Nigerian coach Sunday Oilseh has been vindicated by the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB) tribunal following the discovery that second division club Fortuna Sittard were indeed guilty of ‘black money payment’ as claimed.
The tribunal has ruled that they must pay their suspended Oilseh part of his salary as compensation.
‘Black money payment’ is an illegal payment for a job done in which tax is not paid to the government and it is punishable in the Netherlands.

tax offenses are a battle against the government because it's one of your major duty as a citizen.
I understand tax related issues barely leads to strict punishments in Africa but in advance countries, you would pay through your nose.
I can assure you some brands would withdraw their sponsorship from the club which would affect their flow of income.

There more to it? DO youu know more than the rest of us?

Gu you are not making any sense to anyon but yourself.

What norm ? What etiquette?

There is nothng like that.

There are hundreds of employment tribunal cases every in Europe. If there was such a norm or etiguette then the Tribunals would not exist in the first place.

Like I said before there have been cases involving Kevin Keegan, Alex Ferguson, Chelsea Team doctor and many many others.
This so called norm or ethos or etiquette is YOUR OWN imaginations

Child. You're probably too young to remember the Bosman ruling. After he won arbitration against his club, Bosman couldn't find another club in Europe. I'll be surprised if Oliseh gets another job in Europe.

For this to make sense and have meaning you must be clear Bosman is the only person that went to a Tribunal or Bosman was a particularly hot football talent like Messi. He was 31 at the time of the judgment and practically unheard of outside Belgium

Stop looking for one sided evidence to justify YOUR BELIEF.
I will be surprised if Oliseh does not get another job in Europe.

Alex Fergusn Took Malcol Glazier to court over a horse

Enrique De Luca sued Chelsea in 2005

Bias is a tendency to ignore evidence that refutes your and seeing only that that buttresses it.

The reality is clubs are competitors of each other and the idea of a cartel to block employment is not only unproductive it is criminal and very risky financially if exposed.

The only thing your post proves is your facility with a search engine. You're a couch potato pundit without a clue.

De Luca (a Spaniard) was playing in the Spanish second division when he launched his case against Chelsea—not exactly at his peak. Playing in his native Spain, and in the forgettable divisions.

Ferguson railed against the stockholders in the club over a horse he had invested in. The case had nothing to do with the club's activities on the pitch.

One thing. Bosman's case was seminal in football history. Look up the word. Since that's something you're good at.

Oliseh, an African, is in a dispute with a European club he manages. Over allegations of match-fixing by the club. If his case sticks, the club is smeared—there are far reaching consequences that could affect the life and integrity of the club. Football clubs care about loyalty, and other clubs are going to be thinking: this dude is disloyal. Perhaps he could have kept quiet, and simply ignored what he saw. He could have left the club. The truth is that Oliseh was imprudent. (That's another word you can look up.) There arec lots of talented Africans who make a living in the West, and your M.O. is generally tempering agitation with wisdom. It's not your country.

Clubs, businesses, Hollywood can and do blacklist people. (A case in point is Kapernick.) Don't be a naive pup.

Well any idiot can call names . Others will focus on ISSUES

There are hundreds of Tribunal cases and I am not going to play the game of doing a post mortem on each case:

"Case A is good bcause it makes my case but Case B is different look here is MY EXPLANATION"

I understand your OPINION it is valid but so are other OPINIONS that have exactly the OPPOSITE perspective to you.

There is no discernible or demonstrable superiority to your OPINION other than YOU LIKE IT

Many people have gone to court and continued to find work in the Football Industry afterwards. That is a fact .

Trying to explain this on your own terms will not work in adult community

Hollywood is irrelevant to the point you are making. A gratuitous widening of the discussion

SEMINAL" is revelatory for you? A mark of accomplishment? Piteous!

I like it when randos on the internet resort to capitalization when they run out of ideas. Mostly oafs with poor education, regurgitating half thought-out soundbites picked up in bars.

The club was taken to the top of the league by Olise. Nobody is disputing that. After Olise twitted to celebrate his success with the club, the club had 4 straight defeats and Olise was fired. The new coach has taken the club back to the top.

If you are the president of the club will you be bothered by the fact that the former manager won a case against you? For me I will be happy that I took a decision that is yielding results
