Except they probably see good civil rights advocacy lawyers helping them fight this on Pro Bono level, i doubt if this poor family could afford the litigation fees..

The Construction Co. would probably fight valiantly in court, wriggling in all the grey areas of culpability or not, but eventually the family'll get something & some closure. Naija matter tie me sha!

There are several instances and avenue for any brilliant lawyer to make name and money for him/her self, they will rather run after corrupt moneybag politicians for cheap money.

We have lots of lazy and unimaginative lawyers in this country.

The government should have fenced the place up.

Did Julius berger tell the boy to jump or play around the gutter or drainage? You people saying trash here should have as well told Julius berger to build a massive wall at the edges of third mainland bridge to enable them prevent those people that use that place as sucide zone. People should think before they talk. How will they cover this huge drainage? Or you think Julius berger are stupid like the quack indegenious construction companies we have in Nigeria?

But then it baffles me that you don't seem to know that it's a canal not a gutter. Canals are wider and deeper than gutters so I can't understand how according to you it was "carelessly constructed".

We have lawless lawyers, who believe by their actions, that justice is reserved for the rich. "No merit in pro bono", as one of them told me recently.
