The problem with you folk is you lie too much .Even to your selves you lie and refuse to face facts

Break Rules? What Rules?

The following are the rules that exist between us

[sup][/sup]

In 2011 we voted Jonathan and by 2015 he was rejected. We did not vote him in 2011 because of any rules or any southern solidarity which is just a fiction and we rejected him because he failed

Take a look at this thread from 2011 2012 when GEJ was in power and what your folk had to say about so called rules

https://www.nairaland.com/745731/yoruba-marginalization-elders-met-jonathan

The thread is a must see. It was revived after Buhari came to power

You are dwelling on the past when you say one party is failing to abide by "RULES" when confronted with reality you change your tune.

We are fine with dealing with the present and future.

If we want to do that stop talking about rules because the rules of the past have meant Eboes ganging up with Fulani against Yoruba FOUR TIMES in our electoral history

Deaing with now means stopping all talk about Ibo presidency BECAUSE of the PAST.

Let us look forward and stop talking of Ibo presidency and focus on merit

When you did it it was coalition? Now iit is gang up?

When you were doing it it was fine and Yoruba never complained because we do not know you from Adam

I challenge you to produce one, just one instance where the Yoruba complained or used this gang up language

I am waiting

The reality is Yoruba are comfortabe playing opposition and have no need to be in the centre like you desperately do.

After all your years of coalition you still moan about marginalisation, no federal presence and conspiracy to block a seaport in the East.

If the Yoruba can do all these from opposition they must be very powerful.

Yoruba act in their own interest like everyone else. Stop moaning

I have been reading some of my brothers thinking power will rotate to Yoruba in 2023
It’s not happening
This are the possible scenarios
Power will come down south
It will be turn of south east
If sw should vex and hijack it
South east will protest and support a northerner
North will be happy to continue ruling

So Yorubas stay woke !

It's good you now know the truth. The East will not tolerate the SW trying to play 'hanky-panky' when power comes down south again else they'll vote en mass for a northener since the SW wants to the rule again even when they've had their turn through OBJ whom they (Igbos) supported massively. The SW should be the biggest supporter of Eastern presidency just like the East supported yoruba presidency for 8 years.

If the yorubas feel too big and decide they can not support the East why should the East let you have the presidency on a platter when they can play a spoiler since you are trying to be greedy?

I have also thought about such scenario, but you know, the SW is likely to present Osinbajo in 2023, and I don't see the SE and SS supporting a Northern Muslim against a pastor even if he's a Yoruba man.

You are a joker. Try to play smart and see what becomes of your yoruba presidency. The East will ensure a northern bororo goat trounces Osibande since you think they go 'siddon look' even after voting yoruba presidency (OBJ) for 8 years. E no go happen laye laye. Omo Ibo no go gree make you cheat am.

And they will do it for his Grand son in law

But why should the East let you eat your cake through OBJ and have it. Are they your slaves...who can only vote yoruba but whom yoruba can not vote for them? Repay their vote for yoruba first and stop trying to be smart.

The East will vote yoruba only when yoruba decides to vote an Igbo man who have already voted yoruba twice.

They are usually the loudest when shouting 'I will never vote an Igbo president" which have now made the East wiser.

There will never be another yoruba president until the East take their rightful turn. They can take this statement to the bank.

You cannot eat your cake and have it. It will take a needle to passs through the eye of a carmel than for a Yoruba to become President over the Igbos in 2023. SE did not drop anything. Do not get emotional with me

Alex Ekwueme contested against Obasanjo and lost.

Has there been any presidential election since 1999 that the SE did not contest? Why are you so fond of lies.

If the SE dropped any ambition (which is a lie) it was not based on any agreement but a clear reading of the mood of the country and just going with the flow.

That did not happen Alex Ekwueme contested and LOST.

Remember that ALEX EKWUEME LOST because he was not popular

So if the presidency comes down south again the SW will contest and if a SE person wins the SW will go with the flow.

You cannot claim any entitlement based on losing a contest.

It is like saying Germany should let Brazil win the World Cup because they won the last one?

Even Buhari contested against Obasanjo in 2003 so what are we talking about.

If the SE plan for presidency is to appeal to sentiment you are on a very long thing.

Here is the thing the SE say: If the SW do not support us let a Fulanii have it a la

if I can't have the baby divide it in two.

The Yoruba response is let the Fuani have it. It is not that important to us . After all you have always aligned with the Fulani in the past

So the SE have to bring another narrative that one will not work.
The SE need to wake up to what kind of reationship they need to have with the SW . Our position is Presidency will come to the south one day ,when that day comes let us contest . What is the SE afraid of? You win the presidency in a mix like Nigeria by having some friends. Everyone cannot like you in this life but when no one likes you you need to look in the mirror.

The SE people have a tendency to talk and act in a way that suggests there will be no tomorrow thus burning bridges irreparably.

In 2011 GEJ was in power. That was the last chance to build southerrn Unity. The SE showed that the SW will not prosper under their presidency judging from the behaviur of the likes of Stella Odua and Pius Anyim it was clear that the SE are still in We want revenge for Biafra mode.

Everyone else has moved on.
Obasanjjo was president and had Soludo and Iweala in his team, Senate President as from the SE , even his Personal Boyboy Andy Uba was from the SE.

If anyone is filled with bitterness it is the SE.

This is a welcome development, the Yorubas should be effectively and perpetually marginalized and schemed out, because they deserve worst things also. What did they achieve for their rotten Yoruba states during wasted years of the baboon called Obasanjorijo Useless and woe tribe. They should step up the complaint, GEJ will as usual and as always mess them up. They forgot that Tinubo sold them out for a pot of 'ewodu', the same way their foolish leaders sold out abioala to the almajiris to be slaughtered.

PointB:
@Topic,

If Yoruba feel marginalised, they should hold ACN responsible for siding with Tambuwal to deny them of the House Speakership slot. GEJ did all he could, but the myopic ACN leaders decided to sell to the highest bidder - the IBB-Atiku backed Tambuwal.

'I dey laff oooo,' says Obasanjo who did not deem is necessary to fix any road during his 8 year tenure, but wanted a third term!

Me too I dey laff ooo, but in marginalisation grin grin grin grin

aljharem:
this people are funny u know. Just i thought this people want to eat there cake and have it again

they all voted for ACN thus they want regional government ie fedralism

yet they still want the advantages of being in the mainstream politics

abeg make them go sit down angry

when it is time they should go meet tinubu there master
Afam4eva:
Al_harem has spoken the truth. You cannot eat your cake and still want to have. PDP controls the center. So, states that will benefit from the center are PDP states. They should go and meet oga Tinubu if they feel marginalized.

chino11:

You are quite pathetic. The yooroba people deserve all the punishment they are getting now for wasting 8yrs thru Obasanjo, no infrastructural development, no education, he made sure that Ndigbo are effectively schemed out politically. In the case of your yabbing no yorobaman including you has the gut and liver to deal with any Igboman let alone me, even if we have the rare opportunity of coming to meet one on one. What I have written earlier was not because yorooba people has done anything personal to me but because of how you daft yoorobas attack anything Igbo on the NL. I challenge you today whatever you have wished me or any Igboman is sent to you in multiple folds. May you fail in anything Igboman is part of, may you be cursed as you continue in your drive against the Igbos, may your suffering surpass any worst situation you can ever imagine. May whatever evil you wish anybody continue to dwell in your household. As the Igbos are holding sensitive positions today in Nigeria may you never benefit from it, as we did not benefit from the Obj wasted 8yrs ruin

Lol.. You mean Alex Ekwueme contested the main presidential election against OBJ's PDP? On which party if I may ask?
You are so shamelessly revisionist.

Anyway you can say whatever you like. Records show that a yoruba president (OBJ) got more votes from the East than the entire yorubaland. Until that gesture is repaid back there will be no yoruba president until everyone get tired of the unworkable union and go their separate ways. Ingrates!

I do not have to "MEAN" anything

every adult with a brain knows what happened in 1999 so stop the amateur theatricality

In the future the same thing will happen , there will be a contest with winners and losers . There was no anointing or coronation but a competitive process leading to the emergnce of a President.

Let the Ibos commit to competition whenever the presidency comes south again.

Your brother a yoruba started the thread. He has seen the futility of screaming 'We will never vote Igbo' like mad dogs after they voted yoruba twice. They had a choice. Yes they did. Ekwueme was asked to step down for Obj. Shagari and other non-military northern leaders badly wanted Ekwueme but the military cabal wanted someone with an esprit de corp mindset. Yes that's what happened. You were obviously a toddler those years.

When the time comes for Southern presidency and you feel you can steal it from the rest of the south, you'll go emptyhanded until you renounce your greedy behaviour. That for sure.

Again take it to the bank.
