Are u serious u have a motorised DSTV dish coupled with an mpeg 2 or 4 decoder and u are able to track 11 birds including Nilesat, Badr4 , Astra2b and others. This is incredible. I'll like to have that as well. I had wanted to go fully FTA as I av a DSTV setup already but space to install a big dish na prblem for Lagos as lanlord dey disturb. Please Kinsmen, reply and let me know which notablesport, movie and news channel you pick and what your setup is like as per decoder and other things. WHere u dey sef and se d Joe guy dey lagos. who is talking of receiving nilesat on a dstv size dish? All africa beam birds(11) receivable on an offset dish(90cm or greater size).it is compact,saves u a lot of space,lnb,money & dishes(imagine a scenero of hanging 11 90cm offset dishes in your home just to enjoy fta). Trust me it is real , Joe resides in d South West. He delivers anywhere within southwest(Lagos inclusive). When intel17@ 66.0'e came on board i just grab my remote and move d motorise dish until i hit green.

who says u can't motorize dstv size of dish. If u wanna motorize 90cm (or of greater sizes) offset dishes, contact JOE on 08126875150. He did mine and what a wonderful job he did.I have got 11 satellite on board. No more fight wit landlord over where to put offset dishes.I Watch live seria A/LA LIGA/UCL/EPL/EUROPA LEAGUE among others.

I love FTA but I know no jack about it. I keep buying decoders based on Installers advices in Jos, Plateau State.
Now, I just acquired strong 4930HD decoder and I have both 1.8m dish and 90cm dish and also DSTV set-up.
I have also downloaded the software for the Strong 4930hd decoder.
Presently, the set-up faces Nilesat.
Please I need your assistance as I want to watch HD Channels on FTA, and also if possible, showtime/art movies and channels for live EPL/UCL/La liga matches.
My present set-up is not motorised.
Please how do I watch these HD and Movies and sports channels?

If yes, am I right to say that any HD Receiver can automatically receive DVB-S, DVB-S2, Mpeg2 and Mpeg4 formats of signals?

Check previous posts. Your 4930 is mpeg 4 and HD so depending on your location and dish size you will enjoy it, there are plenty of FTA channels. Check Flysat and Lyngsat to verify what you want (yes, a bit of research on your part )

I have failed to call up the BISS key edit window on Astrovox VSR 8900. I tried the 8943 & 8888 after upgrading the receiver software to "VSR-8900 HD_3602_V6_14112011" but all in vain.

Someone kindly come to my aid, how do I pull this off?
