The suspects were Daniel Dara, 29, Marvelous Christian, 25, Aneka Akachukwu, 20, Abuchi Michael, 20 and 30-year old Ezeugo Luke.

It was gathered that the suspects rented the apartment and one of them resided there while the other members usually went there to satisfy their sexual desires. However, trouble was said to have started after the eldest among them started having anal sex with the younger ones without informing others which resulted in exchange of hot words and public fight.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that information got to the police at Ikotun Division who went to the place and arrested the suspects while others were said to be at large. The police also recovered some baby diapers which some of the injured victims used to prevent blood from drifting from their damaged anus.

During interrogations, the police discovered that the house was a haven where a group of gay victims assembled to have anal sex among themselves. The residents initially thought that they were robbers until they discovered they were gays and informed the police of their activities there. They confessed that they were not criminals but assembled there to satisfy their sexual desires.

They were charged before Ejigbo Magistrates court for conduct likely to cause breach of public peace by fighting publicly and having anal sex among themselves.

They pleaded not guilty.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.K.J. Layeni granted them bail in the sum of N300,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The prosecutor Inspector G. Simon objected their bail on the ground of the seriousness of the offence they were alleged to have committed.

The court then ordered the prosecutor to send their file to DPP for advice and equally referred them to Lagos State Ministry of Health to determine their health status.

However, they were remanded in prison custody pending when they will perfect their bail condition and the availability of the result of the DPP advice.

The matter was adjourned till 24 April, 2018 for the report of DPP’s advice to be ready.
