The Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Matthew O. Kolawole received the leadership of Okun Ladies Association, Lokoja Chapter at the Assembly Complex on Wednesday 11th April, 2018 after plenary session.

The President of the association who led the delegation, Chief Mrs. Josephine Medupin poured encomiums on the Speaker noting that he is a worthy representative of the people and the Okun Nation is proud of him. The President then asked for the support of the Speaker on the project the association is planning to execute in Kabba town.

The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Matthew Olushola Kolawole of Kabba-Bunu State Constituency appreciated the association for coming to pay him the visit, he said it will go a long way to spur him to do more.

The Speaker asked the women to work with Okun Traditional Council to have an indivisible Okun Nation, he stressed that the division is the main reason for Okunland's underdevelopment.

In conclusion, the Speaker solicited their support for the leadership of the State under His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello.

A former President of the association, Chief Mrs. Ebun Joel while giving the closing remark, thanked the Speaker for receiving them.

The delegation is comprised of the entire Executive members of the Association.
