Scope of training:
1. Fashion Design and Dress Making Patterns:

Course Outline:
1. Basic terms/ symbols of pattern making
2. Body measurements and introduction to the different types of pattern drafting.
Using the flat pattern method:
a. Drafting of basic Bodice block
b. Drafting of basic sleeve block
c. Development of hip slope
d. Drafting the basic skirt
e. Developing a basic gown
f. Drafting facings and openings
g. Drafting some basic collars
h. Drafting of some various sleeve pattern
i. Drafting of some various skirts.
These will enable trainees to come up with any type of dress pattern they desire.


Training Benefits: Trainees will be enabled to produce and/or carry out practices of everything they have learned in the cause of the training.
They will be exposed to the financial benefits that can accrue from acquiring such skills and using same to work.

They will become potential income earners by going into private production, partnership with each other and working for an organization, hence becoming financially independent and responsible.

Training Process: These trainings are designed to cover a period of one month and will be essentially practical based where trainees will be guided to exercise what has been comprehensively demonstrated before them.

Training time:
Training begins on Monday 23 April, 2018.
Mondays to Fridays: 9:00am to 6:00pm (choose a section )and
Saturdays for workers only (9:00am - 6:00pm).
All training materials and equipment will be duly provided by DVM Global Ventures.
