The society we live in will rope a crime to your neck if the accident victim is later confirmed dead, Nigerians are kind hearted people but the society does not support kindness. In this scenario the man was unconscious, I would avoid him too but not taking pictures, I can decide to look for a policeman. Shikena

A freak and ghastly motor accident happened this afternoon in Lagos due to break failure. A man who was driving the Mercedes-Benz 4matic car - lost control of the vehicle and almost crashed into some shops.

According to James Adeshina,[b] the driver was unconscious for over 30 minutes and nobody could take them to the hospital as they were reportedly taking pictures of the accident [/b]until he and one bus driver helped him to the nearest clinic.

The driver has regained consciousness and is beating treated as at the time of filing this report.

This was at Miccom Bus Stop, EGBEDA. Saw a lot of people, LSNC guys, Police, etc there while passing this afternoon. We thank God the shops were unoccupied as at the time of the incident.

I understand where you're coming from but there are problems with moving accident victims:

1. you don't know what they broke in their body, and so moving an accident victim can worsen their situation if you're not a professional. You really need emergency personnel with stretcher.

2. in our dear country, there's no reward for doing good... if you pull somebody and take them to hospital, three things may happen:
- you're on the hook for the hospital bill
- police will start looking for somebody to blame and frame
- if you somehow made something worse (by moving the person without training), instead of thanks you may get a lawsuit

One of my aunts was implicated by police and got into so much undeserved pain, trauma, and financial cost for stopping to help the victim of an accident and take her to hospital. With these in mind, we've learned to mind our own business, and leave victims to the professionals that our oil and taxes are supposed to pay for.

Dear sir, if you see a victim on the road side and you're not trained on emergency � services, please get help and do nothing. Many have innocently caused the death of others without even knowing that it's their fault. You can worsen a spinal cord injury just by moving the victim wrongly
