Thank you for your efforts sir. You understand that Nigeria must be a safe and truly free place for it to succeed. Embrace technology for crime fighting and do more education/training. Monetize and manage a working system for us. Reformat una sefs with respect and actions. No time to check time.

If you monetize it in an affordable way, lawyers will eat, you guys will eat in the form of free education fund for at least four kids, pay raise, etc.
Nigerian police need cameras in their work cars that should be saved by them and other neutral 3rd party, the accused and the victim can see the content; they need to be taught how to approach or engage people, especially in a non threatening situation. They need reform. It should be a job of fun.


As for this case, it seems it would be solved through word of mouth. We will never get close to the original event of this crime. We have to do better, the technologies dey. We have to practice a better system with better results for better PR. We need to embrace more forensics including financial forensics, cameras, courts. You can still do road cameras, instead of speed cameras, you can do proximity cameras, so if a car is coming the wrong way, the cameras will take the picture, for each proven wrong road, 1500 naira. It can be installed in police outfits bikes and cars etc If alaye harass a driver or conductor and camera can proof it, that alaye can be arrested, charged, and forced to pay his/her victim. Many more for a later day.

I am no Abba Kyari but I am offended by this statement. How did he ask for publicity? If he starts chasing away the press, people will say he is arrogant. Your post reeks of tribalism and is an example of why Nigeria is the way it is. Let the press do their job and Abba Kyari do his.

This gentleman is an excellent example of how a bit of commonsense, dedication and training along with reasonable apportionment of resources can help this country.

I am confident this crime will be solved. The criminals have made their first mistake: Abba Kyari is alive, he is well and he is directing the IG's IRT. Look at the man's lengthy background record. Armed robbers may be vicious but they are usually not the smartest people.

Every Nigerian should pray for this man to live long. The benefit we have derived goes way beyond the crimes he solved. Of by far greater significance is the deterrence in preventing potential crimes especially the violent ones.

For his effort, he deserves by far more praises and acknowledgement than a random journalist with a camera can ever give.
