why didn't Gej finish it in 6 years in office. it was for pdp, they would have abandoned the project for another white elephant project that they are known for

Kudos to PMB who understand that governance is a continuum, who understand the difference between a NEED and WANT, Some senseless leaders will choose to finish that centenary whatever over this laudable project.

Nigerians do not understand the level of uncompleted projects especially in Abuja that Buhari has so far completed while others are coming up.

This means settling huge accumulated bills left back by previous govts.

No one likes paying debts but these abandoned projects had huge debt profile on them, returning back to them means sacrifice and a commitment to do the right.

Whether GEJ or PMB, it was done by the Federal government. After all, neither of them did it with their personal money. We pay and maintain the luxurious lifestyle of these public officials so that they can deliver with our collective money. So, irrespective of who started or completed it,I say weldone the Federal government of Nigeria.

Abi...we've seen so many projects abandoned by successive administrations in Nigeria...Only if our politicians can embrace continuity in governance; we'll move forward in no time.

No matter how you try to discredit PMB, fact still remains that he completed the project. And he who finishes a project try the most not who begins it. He has every right to discontinue the PDP initiative but choose to continue with it and completed and you guys still have balls to discredit such a man? Your life is a joke.

Thank you pmb

For not cancelling it in the manner that he cancelled Jakande’s metro project, which Tinubu/Fashola/Ambode have been unable to complete after 34 years?
Instead of the metro, Ambode invited Buhari to commission a bus stop that costs more than the cancelled Jakande’s metro.
Moving backwards, is that their change

Unfortunately. Nigerians don't like good things. The new train station situated at Kubwa is already undergoing Nigerianification. Corrupt and rude staff, ridiculous ticketing and sitting arrangements and of course, Filthy "I don't care.Na my house?" Nigerians.

Go and sit down. I don't believe you. Maybe you went there with this uppity attitude and someone put you in your place.

I honestly don't know why that Lagos project is taking so long. At least one line should be operational by now.

Of course criticizing anything instantly means you've got an "uppity attitude"... and have you actually been to the damn station?

After the Lagos blackmail? It was a chance to 'clear' his name. Lagos will never forgive him though. Blocked a rail line and came back decades layer to commission a bus station.

Please take time to read below excerpts. They transcend this administration;

The Tragedy of Abandoned Projects By Nasir El-Rufai - August 31, 2012

“The government must curb the temptations or pressures to embark on new projects when so many remain uncompleted or abandoned”

Eleven thousand, eight hundred and eighty-six (11,886) abandoned projects that will cost an estimated N7.78 trillion to complete. These alarming figures are from the report of the Presidential Projects Assessment Committee (PPAC) set up in March 2011 by President Goodluck Jonathan to look into cases of abandoned federal government projects. If the government does not start any new projects, it will take more than five years budgeting about N1.5 trillion annually to complete them all – and that is assuming no cost-over runs or delays.https://www.premiumtimesng.com/opinion/98468-the-tragedy-of-abandoned-projects-by-nasir-el-rufai.html

About 12,000 federal projects abandoned across Nigeria - November 24, 2012 An estimated 11, 886 federal government projects were abandoned in the past 40 years across the country, Founder of the Africa Diaspora Research in Charis Complex, Centurion, South Africa, Professor Kole Omotoso, has said. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/108450-about-12000-federal-projects-abandoned-across-nigeria.html

Abandoned N12trn projects - 12th November 2017 A SURVEY by the Chartered Institute of Project Management of Nigeria revealed a litany of abandoned projects estimated at N12 trillion nationwide. According to the Director of Administration of the Institute, Mr. David Godswill Okoronkwo, there were at the time of compilation of the survey report, approximately 56,000 abandoned government projects across the country’s geopolitical zones. A breakdown of the abandoned projects shows that 15,000 of them are in the South-East, 11,000 in the South-South, 10,000 in the South-West, 6000 in the North-West, 7000 in the North-Central, 5000 in North-East, and 2000 in Abuja. http://sunnewsonline.com/abandoned-n12trn-projects/
