What do you expect from us, love and affection for them? The most worrisome part is that most of those miscreants are not from Anambra State.

All this won't make an impact if the staff are not well paid. Anambra is one of the states in Nigeria that is yet to implement CONHESS and CONMESS salary scales. The most least paid to health workers A state where doctors , nurses, pharmacists etc are receiving peanuts in the name of salaries. Imagine being paid 37k and 45k as a level 7 and 8 officer respectively. Level 9 is 50k +. No wonder in every nook and cranies of this country you will find an anambra indigene slugging it out with the indigenes on employments.
Please sir do something about this.
Governor Obiano should implement these salary scales to prevent mass exodus of our health professional to the neighbouring states . Most workers in Anambra hospitals are working in two places at a time to make ends meet. Borromeo, immaculate heart, menax, kanayo and the rest have government staff on their payroll on full time...if not tell me why a doctor will not always be on duty at a whole general hospital after 2 pm...huh...he is fending for himself... agu agugbuo mmadu na obodo a. It is not increase in salary that I am talking about but implementing an agreed salary structures CONHESS and CONMESS which almost every state in the southern part of the country and northern part has implemented but Anambra is lagging behind.
Please, enough of that political talks of some paying and some not paying. Tell your oga to do something.
Without the private hospitals and NAUTH, Anambra healthcare delivery system is one of the worst healthcare delivery system in the East.
You can't put a burglary on a thatched house without asking the occupants what they want.
Refurbishment without paying the healthcare workers well isn't gonna work. These same refurbishment was done during Peter Obi's era but things are still the same. Empower your health workforce and see positive changes.

Meanwhile, the one storey building behind the male abi female ward in Onitsha general build close to ten years ago needs a structural engineer to identify why staff ran away from using that building for years. I hope it is properly looked into to prevent the stories that touch.

The weather in both climes are not the same. If you build a structure in this part of the world with low roof, you risk being cooked to death by heat. The raise aluminium roofs helps to intercept the heat and it is further cooled by the ceiling. Even with that you still feels the heat on a very sunny day..
