IBB: SOUTH EAST YOUTHS SOLIDLY BEHIND SENATOR AHMED MOHAMMED MAKARFI

Haven read the rendition of a Living Legend in Nigeria politics in person of HE, Ibrahim B. Babangida, we the Youths of South East under the umbrella, NIGERIA YOUTH PROJECT salute the courage demonstrated by HE, Senator Ahmed M. Makarfi when he stepped forward to salvage our great Party, The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Senator Makarfi is a man we trusted PDP into his hands as Caretaker Committee Chairman and he saved the party, rebranded the party, reconciled aggrieved members and repositioned the party for victory come 2019.

To us in the South Eastern states, that was an acid test and the result is evident. He repositioned the party in record time. Reconciled aggrieved parties from all regions, and has remained resolute to the vision of PDP and never made an attempt to dump the party for any reason whatsoever. To us that's the Man for the number one position in Nigeria.

We call on all well meaning Nigerians to lend their voices as we call on His Excellency, Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi to make himself available once again as our presidential hopeful. You are Youthful, intelligent, a seasoned administrator, and hope for the future of Nigeria.

We the youths of the South East call on you one more time, HE, Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi to make your self available.

We also call on all Nigerians to give him maximum support in PDP primary elections and in the general election come 2019.

We know loyalty and commitment has a reward, and Senator MakarfI deserves reward for his loyalty to The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which is in line with the statement of our elder States man, IBB.

One surprising thing is that many Eastern elders see Senator Makarfi as one of our own in our usual hospitable manner, being that Senator Makarfi schooled at Federal Government Secondary School, in Enugu State and integrated so well that Enugu State which is the Capital of South East is a second home for him.

He also blended so much with the South East that he holds a Chieftancy title from a community in Abia State.

He is one of the politicians in Nigeria who is detribalised. While in office as Executive Governor of Kaduna State, he saw the need to integrate every major tribe in Nigeria into the administration of the state hence he appointed people from other regions including the South East into positions of responsibility. He is a man of the people; he is the man of the moment for the top job in Nigeria come 2019.

As one of ours, both the elders and the youths are very much at home with him and stand solidly behind him.

Oga Makarfi did not lose his senatorial seat, the Sai Baba madness of 2015 was responsible as people were only interested in voting APC that day in Kaduna zone 1 (which was Buhari stronghold in 2015).

Makarfi is the reason PDP could retain Kaduna state in 2007 and 2011, and had it been the Presidential and Senate elections weren't done same day, Makarfi would have retained his seat.

Meanwhile, the stakes are higher now. Makarfi is loved across board and in all geopolitical zones. He is not a bigot like Buhari nor has any corruption stain. Also, as Governor he was an awesome performer and great as Senator as well as National Chairman.

He will floor Buhari by landslide in 2019
