Nigerian Youth Open Letter To President Buhari by ATIKUAIR(f): 12:37pm On Apr 19, 2018
President Buhari has continued to fail at his primary assignment of being president which is to be the chief marketing officer of the country.

We Nigerian youths strongly condemn Buhari’s Westminster statement as we must remember that the same man we queued under the sun to vote for, walked across states to campaign for have turned around to shame us.

Mr President, your speech at Westminster on Wednesday, saying that a lot of the youth just want to sit down and do nothing, banking on the notion that Nigeria is an oil-rich nation is not first of its kind.

Few years ago in Germany, standing next to Angela Markel, agruably the most powerful woman in the world, you insulted Nigerian women, relegated their roles to the kitchen and the bedroom forgetting that 75% of small holder farmers are hardworking women who are involved in the production, processing and marketing of agricultural products. Disrespecting a lot of strong women who have sacrificed a lot for democracy we are enjoying today.
A similar faux happened in the UK where you described Nigerian youths as fantastically corrupt, Rather than defend the dignity of of Nigerian youths, Mr. president in your usual self righteousness decided to be humorous with our national pride. Today, in what we consider an incendiary statement to every hardworking Nigerian youth, Mr. president describing us as lazy and over entitled is unacceptable in all its ramifications.

Mr. president, your ancient and archaic economic policies led us to recession which it's after effect cost this country the loss of more than 10 million jobs in three years. Under your watch thousands of young and able Nigerians have died needlessly from insecurity. In 3 years of your government we can't mention any project you initiated and completed. In 3 years of your government there is no known program you have for the youths.

Under your government, fuel subsidy have jumped from ₦261 billion under corrupt GEJ to ₦1.4 trillion per annum under you Mr. Integrity even when the price of petrol has increased from ₦87 to ₦145 per liter. In 3 years you have not fulfilled any of your campaign promises, all you have done for the youths is to blame the past government which you are part of is appalling because at a very young age, you were Military Gov of the North Eastern State, Petroleum Minister, Head of State and later Chairman of the Petroleum Trust Fund (PTF) under the Abacha administration, and under you as the Minister of Petroleum, N2.8 billion went missing from the accounts of the NNPC in Midlands Bank in the United Kingdom. N2.8 billion as at that time is like $2.8 billion (over N1 trillion) It is sickening and unbelievable that the same incompetent President is now blaming past government he was part of as sucking the country dry and even went ahead to release list of looters that was never convicted by any competent court except yourself because they are in opposition party as your only achievement in 3 years, yet you de-market hardworking Nigeria youths before the entire world

Mr President, let me remind you that Nigerian youths started Nollywood and Nigeria Music industry from the scratch without any government support even till date, that is why you hear the names of Wizkid, Omotala, Genevieve, Davido, 2face, Dbanji, Olamide, Flavour, Phyno etc, they are Nigerian youths who are internationally known for making it to the top from their hard work, unlike you that was fed and was taken care of by the government from when you were 19, You left Secondary School to join the Army. At 21, you were commissioned a second lieutenant and appointed Platoon Commander of the Second Infantry Battalion in Abeokuta,! Where can our youths get such opportunity today?

Mr President, be guided that Nigerian youths are hardworking even when your government have no plans for us, knowing that we queued under the sun to vote for you, walked across states for you, Campaigned for you with the hope your policies will favour us, unknown to us you will turn around to shame us with lies and propaganda.
Nigerian youths demand an apology from you Mr president for this international embarrassment to our national pride, your betrayal to Nigerian youths simply confirmed you're an entitled parasite, knowing that all your life, you have lived off Nigeria and yet you dare to rubbish us whose chance of having a good life and enabling environment was destroyed by your government outdated policies. Kindly wait for us at the poll come 2019, for we will return the kind gesture by queuing under the sun, walking across the States and campaigning vigorously on the need why you should go back to Daura and rest.

Mr President, Nigeria is not a country lying in state as you paint us to be because we have vibrant and hardworking youth! Never again will a leader who don't care about our welfare lead us, never again will lies and propaganda be the hall mark of achievement, never again will Nigerian youths key into excuses for incompetency. Enough is enough
