Oba, Anambra state. A new housing estate. ........
Can anyone in the know please tell us if these new areas gov't has approved for housing estates have been surveyed and properly serviced with the necessary infrastructure before plots are sold and building of houses begins?

Our development should be planned and in keeping with accepted best practices in developed countries of the world. After all, we're aiming for the Dubai model aren't we?

That is when u will see a new nigeria..for now na oil politics we dey play...govt is still keeping huge civil service and paying only salary

And another thing is that we contribute money to build big churches in the east...but cant contribute to tar our dirty streets.

The place was neither surveyed nor approved by government.

The sad thing about our development is that most parts of the state, you buy land from the communities or families. These lands are not properly surveyed, so folks just keep building on their portion of the land. The end result is never too pleasant.

I hope we begin to at least plan some of these mass housing districts in Onitsha, Awada and Obosi to look decent. Even if it's third world standard. We should make space for adequate road infrastructure and make effort to make the place habitable and pleasant.

Re: . by bestviewer: 10:42pm On Aug 03, 2018
Nwokem stop yapping rubbish. Do you have house there to know that it was not surveyed? How can you know it wasn't surveyed by mere looking at the picture? You are always carrying yourself as if you know everything but you know nadah.

Hehehehe. I posted this for a purpose but just look at how all these hypocrites avoided it like a plague. The core of discussion for SE development should center on this report but ITK people like Cjrane doesn't want to discuss it but will always be quick to jump on matters he has no clue to.

Pictorial views of Onitsha/Obosi/Nkpor always elicit nostalgia and pride in the heart of every true Igbo man/woman.

A lot of people are beginning to pay attention. When Igbo folks gather in Los Angeles, it is all about projects and projects in Ala Igbo.

I hear more of Asaba, Onitsha, Awka, Owerri, Aba, Enugu and a lot less about Lagos or Abuja these days.

Perhaps, Buhari and his herdmen are blessing in disguise.
It took someone like Buhari and a party like APC for us to begin to see the importance of aku luo uno, which if i'm to be honest, Anambra seems to be championing much more than any other state in the SE!

I think it's because the layout of the report is not user-friendly. I get a bit dizzy scrolling up and down to compare data of various states. undecided

Igboson, i respect you so much, please take your time and study the report. It is very important for any true lover of Igbo land to know the details in the report.

Bro, abeg leave Chino. I no get his time now. Been very busy lately.
Truth is that Nigerian statistics isn't even worth the paper it's printed on. Any stats. from "Nigeria", i don't even bother to look at it at all. Look at Osun that is almost bankrupt doing better than Anambra and Enugu grin grin grin grin grin grin

Chino's concern is simply to mock Abagworo that Anambra is better than Imo and other SE states. My concern is to make sure the entire SE cultivate and specialize in their area of comparative advantage and we plan our cities to a decent international level where foreigners will gladly want to live in the flats in Awada or Obosi and have same living standard as living in China, Beirut or Cairo. I want us to CHANGE our attitude of not doing anything to international standard and do everything to compete internationally. Let our apartment buildings and flats compete with what is in Indonesia or Thailand or China. Let tourists feel comfortable renting a flat in Obosi and living there.

Please, please please, spare me Nigerian voodoo statistics. grin grin grin grin grin
I don't have time to waste on childish forgeries called Nigerian statistics

Leave Osun and focus on the SE states. Is Anambra or Enugu also doing better than Lagos which is top on the list? Tell us something else.

How did i know the area was not planned? You can equally ask me how i can tell the difference between a plastered but unpainted house from a well painted house by merely looking at the pictures. grin

In case you didn't know it yet, you can tell a planned estate from an unplanned one by merely looking at the haphazard and disorganized pattern of building compared to the orderly layout of houses and roads in planned estates.

When you get to that level of trained eye, you will see that it is very obvious to tell planned areas from unplanned areas even in pictures.

Shut up and stop yapping rubbish. You don't know anything, all you do is a guess work. You do not have anything in that area neither have you been there. You came to your conclusion by merely seeing a picture elevation.

Cjrane2 abeg leave that guy alone. The trouble that comes with him is not worth it. This is an Igbo unity thread where we put heads together to discuss our developmental issues. Don’t let him derail it by responding.
Re: . by Sprumbabafather: 8:50am On Aug 04, 2018
Anyone who responds to Chino and Abagworo hiding under the name of bestviewer is not helping Igbo discuss. Cjrane has been used to react and distract us. That's their ploy.

Bestviewer, chino, Abagworo, ofuzo, Yyeske, igbodefender and another 20 more names are the same team of afonjas trying desperately to derail igbo topics by trying to divide us.

Stop being paranoid. Have some confidence in your politics. Stop complaining when people exercise their constitutional right to expression and association.

It is un-Igbo to lie against others. It is not Igbo to cry because the opinions of others are different from yours.

If you feel people are wrong, go back and bring up a better argument. That is what it means to respect Igbo culture.

Igbo culture is about egbe bere ugo bere. Igbo culture is not about one man handing out political thought to be swallowed hook line and sinker by all.

It is about debating in the town hall. It is about victory of the best argument.

Oga, stop drawing us back.

Its also un igbo for igbos to consistently take stands inimical to the general Igbo direction of progress by promoting people with little development over established igbo achievement and keeping on repeating it. You cannot derail Igbos by spreading negativity.

Igbos are strong and resilient people. We will always improve in our progress.

When people have more babies than they can afford, will you will use your "political numbers" to train them? How has breeding like rabbits improved the lives of individuals from those regions with "political numbers".

This is the daftest propaganda I have ever seen before. Igboland is alreay one of the most densely populated areas in the whole of Africa, with all the attendant environmental challenges and morons are campaigning against family planning. Have you seen any develped country with runaway population growth?

This just too moronic to even comprehend.
