The federal government led by President Muhammadu Buhari has been urged to declare a state of emergency in the Orumba federal constituency in Anambra state because of the menace of erosion and gully sites lying in different parts of the constituency.


The plea was delivered to the Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo when a team of traditional rulers visited him (Prof Osinbajo) in his office in Abuja. The delegation was led by Hon. Ben Nwankwo, who represents the federal constituency in the House of Representatives.


They equally thanked the federal government for their contribution in giving the former Vice President Dr Alex Ekwueme who was from the zone a befitting burial.
