The boat burned from morning till around 6pm. The heavy black smoke waa visible from any location on PH city.

One of the vessels caught fire as a result of welding activity and spread to other boats and ship.

Navy has nothing to do with it. The fire started in the morning and still burning till now though almost quenched.


Fire fighters have been there to put off the fire.

Thanks a lot, they want to policitize this soot matter and turn it into PDP vs APC, into state government vs federal government, into indigene vs non indigene, etc.

The truth about this incident is well documented with pictures on twitter, the Navy had nothing to do with this.

Here's what i think happens when this fumes ascend... Acid rain due to coal in the atmosphere messes up everything on the surface. Depletes soil nutrients too. When it falls on d leaves of plants it blocks d stomata where gaseous exchange occur for us to get better Oxygen. Even the fishes and other sea foods we consume are messed up now because there will be traces of carbon in their system. This issue is gonna bring a chain of reactions. I live in PH and I'm fuckn breathless. #stopthesoot

That's not the true story. Nigerian Navy isn't responsible for the outbreak. Sparks from welding activities of those constructing new badges around there ignited the product. My house is a stone throw from the scene.
