I want to buy inverter and i need more info on inverters.

I always have light hours in a day, and i need light at least 20hours daily.

All i need to power are fan, 2bulbs, plasma 50" tv lcd.

Which is the best to go for, a company type or locally built.

Should i get batteries that are the exact watts of my components or i should get batteries of higher capacity

From my own little knowledge you need to first estimate your watt usage and hour many hours you want to have light first before going for inverter and battery
For examplr
A typical 48 inch ceiling fan will uses 75 watts
An energy saving bulb of 10 watt uses 10x2= 20 watt
A typical 50" plasma tv uses 180 watt
total = 275 watt
mutiply by 120% (for loss in energy) 275x1.2 = 330 watt

you can get a 500VA inverter or better still go for 1000VA inverter

Your hours of usage determine your battery capacity

If you a going to be running the above devices for 4 hours on 12v battery you would need
Total energy consumed during 4 hours 330x4=1320 watt
batery Amp 1320/12= 110Amps

you would be needing a 150Amps batteery or so
