Jennifer Elizabeth Douglas, who has also gone by the names Jennifer Iwenjiora, Jamila Abubakar, and Jennifer Douglas-Abubakar, is the fourth wife of Atiku Abubakar. According to the Atiku Biography,Ms. Douglas was born in Nigeria as Jennifer Iwenjiora, worked as a television journalist at the Nigerian Television Authority, and dated Mr. Abubakar in the early 1980s, before leaving for the United States. She lost touch with Mr. Abubakar while attending Howard University. She subsequently married in the United States, took the married name of Jennifer Douglas, and later divorced, becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen during this time period. Ms. Douglas eventually renewed her relationship with Mr. Abubakar who came to visit her in the United States. According to the Atiku Biography, from late 1995 to early 1998, while Sani Abacha was in power in Nigeria, Mr. Abubakar “spent most of his time in Maryland” with Ms. Douglas, making occasional visits to Nigeria. Skipped a lot of paragraphs to the important bit on Page 190. In December 2008, the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed criminal and civil pleadings alleging that Siemens AG, a major German company traded on the New York Stock Exchange, violated the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) by making bribery payments to obtain business in multiple countries, including Nigeria. Siemens pleaded guilty to violating the books and record keeping provisions of the FCPA, and agreed to pay combined criminal and civil fines totaling more than $1.6 billion. One of the allegations in the SEC civil complaint against Siemens was that “approximately $2.8 million of the bribe payments was routed through a bank account in Potomac, Maryland, in the name of the wife of a former Nigerian Vice President.” The Subcommittee has obtained wire transfer documentation substantiating this allegation, as explained below. Through her legal counsel, however, Ms. Douglas denies any wrongdoing https://www.hsgac.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/FOREIGNCORRUPTIONREPORTFINAL710.pdf 5 Likes |

benuejosh:I doubt he has had much opportunity to make any change. yes he was once a vice president for eight years, but as a vice or deputy in any position especially Nigerian politics, you seriously don't have a say in any thing, no portfolio. The main boss will do everything possible so you won't have an opportunity to out shine him. not forgetting he was a vice to a president like Obasanjo. 9 Likes |

There are certain people who have the right to criticize the policy of a bad government owing to their good reputation and atiku is not one of them. It's being a long time I lost interest in this present administration but advising people to reconsider a useless party that brought Nigeria's economy to it's kneels before the daura chief eventually crush it finally is an insult and a big disgrace. This wicked, greedy and shameless man had hold several key positions in subsequent governments, the position of vice president being the climax but couldn't impact his hometown let alone state. Charity begins at home. His state wallows in abject poverty and insecurity issues but the only thing he could think of is his selfish business interest. How many CSR projects as he embark in his community to start with? He is nothing but a desperate political prostitute. 6 Likes 3 Shares |

rusher14: Jenifer Douglas is NOT Atiku's fourth wife, ATIKU already had four wives, he divorced his FIRST wife, without any kind of misunderstanding whatsoever in other to marry Jennifer Douglas. He did this when he wanted to contest for presidency in 2011, hoping to make Jenifer his first lady. A man that has no respect for woman, who acquire and discard women like a USED tissue paper, wants to become a President of a country. When the campaign proper starts, a LOT of embarrassing information concerning ATIKU and his I'll treatment of women will come to the fore. 4 Likes |

7lives: Fourth in the sense that he can only keep 4 women as wives at the same time. I totally understand Atiku's use and dump technique with women. There's no doubt he is both lascivious and avaricous. He is never satisfied with what he has acquired and must acquire more just for the hecm of it. Certainly, more of his unscrupulous ways would be revealed by those that know him better. What I would continue presenting is an independent USA Senate committee report. Such a corrupt individual can never be my President. 2 Likes |

Benue, Taraba, Adamawa are just a tip of what will become of the entire country with Buhari at the helm of affairs. He has shown lack of capacity to deal with the issues, and like Obasanjo said, "Never reinforce failure". Get a new hand and someone with a fresh idea to pilot the affairs of the nation to be guatanteed a better and safer tomorrow. 3 Likes |
