WASHINGTON--Joint Staff Spokesperson Col. Patrick S. Ryder provided the following readout:

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph F. Dunford, Jr., met with Nigerian Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin at the Pentagon today.

The two leaders discussed the close, long-standing military relationship between the United States and Nigeria and other items of mutual interest, to include a deep discussion on counterterrorism.
