I'm from agulu and I know it's very common over here but generally common in all eastern states too and moreover the pins used in Agulu are way much smaller than this

Thats a possibility but check the orientation of the needles from the xray. There is actually none in the "stomach" and the ones on the back are rather too far from the stomach also.

I agree with you but don't you also think that like food, the needles would also be carried by peristalsis and could have lodged and get hooked anywhere along the GIT tract and also find their ways into the surrounding structures?
