>> you're asking for too much if you assume these guys have any shred of integrity.
>>The only constant thing to them is their intense hatred for christianity.

>>Typical David and how true of some posters, unfortunately.

You just don't want to know the truth, because it conflicts with what you have been indoctrinated with. Even if Jesus himself came along to correct your erroneous beliefs, you wouldn't listen - you would probably just shout "go away, you hate our religion".

Great topic, have a friend that is into the worship of these myth gods (Hellenic something), speak a lot about these deities, I would really be interested if giving a reasonable idea of these religion from other sources.

As my belief is based of reasoning/facts/practicals and the way of life of the believers.

But some how there are a lot of similarities between the stories of the Bible and the literature of the Greek/Roman gods.

i.e. the war in heaven and the war in mount Olympus, the coming down of the Olympic god and the coming down of angels, Hades and Hell, Good and Bad, etc.

And again which of the books/literature first existed. GOD! there are so many mysteries yet to be unraveled, so brothers just live a good, quiet, loving, truthful and enjoying life, that's all.

No one religion or belief is the best or right one.

Like Jesus Christ said, "In my fathers house there are many mansions there, if not I would not have said I go to prepare a place for you, for where I be there also you'll be"

These means a lot of things for us mortals to contemplate on. PEACE

Sweetnecta:

Jesus son of Mary [as] stands on his own by the Mercy of his Lord Who sent him.

Whatever people say to defame him (as) means zero in the scale of reality. His Lord is Sufficient as his Witness.

God bless You.

Anyway his real name is Yeshua or Joshua or Jesus which is the Greek interpretation.

Funny how people will keep walking after their lusts till the end of times when the last trump sounds.

The truth is that LIGHT ( Yeshua ) is come into the world but MEN LOVE darkness rather than LIGHT and therefore continue to abide in wickedness.

man is frail with only a whiff of air in his nostrils which if it were not for the mercy of GOD can be extinguised in a moment.

"Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important. As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God." - 1 Corinthians 1:27-30

Did you know
The pinecone at the end of zeus staff reffers to the pineal gland ...that is a symbol for the third eye or seat of the soul...
The pope and ilumenati all have this pinecone as there main symbol and refer to this as being enlightened....

notice the pinecone on some cotholic pictures of jesus with the halow around his head..That sombolises the sun
sun god worship...it all related to sunday WORSHIP.

We are not to worsip or have ANYTHING to do with any false gods...!!!

Yahweh is the God of the Sabbath of the 7th day...He even say in the ten commandments that the sabbath will be the sign or mark that He is your God
Now everyone worships jesus on sunday 1st day..
Why do people always fight so hard to protect there babylon..but the truth is right in fromt of them but they wont even check it out.

The scribes did not believe He was the Christ. That is the simple reason.
mazaje:

Not just that, the entire historical Jesus story remains a great mystery.

Firstly, The bible has stories of Jesus performing lot of miracles in the presence of many thousands of people. So I want to know. . .How come not one person thought, “Wow what a great man and what a great miracle. I need to write that down in my journal.”? How come no local philosophers or scribes during that time(of which there were many) thought these miracles were worthy of mention at all? The gospels came very long and were written by people whose identity remains unknown. . . .

If you're gonna make something up and pretend it was real, it helps immensely to put the said story far enough in the past to be sure there won't be anybody who can say "Hey, I was there and that wasn't what happened." Hence the delay for like 50, 60 and about 100 years before the stories were written down.

What can we say to such far-fetched nonsense? First, not everyone who has a beard is trying to take the place of Jesus. Second, just because a certain word or word part sounds like another word is no proof of commonality. Basing theories of word origin on pronunciation is preposterous. Humorous sounds exactly like humerus, but there’s nothing particularly funny about the bone that goes from the shoulder to the elbow. Third, the Messiah’s Hebrew name is Yeshua, not Yahshua—the latter being a fabrication in order to make the name sound more like YAH. Fourth, the Hebrew name Yeshua translates into Greek as Iésous. This is the name that the angel Gabriel commanded Joseph to name Mary’s child: “You are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21). The name Jesus is a simply a Greek form of Joshua, a common name among Jews. The same verse also alludes to the meaning of the name: the Lord was to be named Jesus because “he will save his people from their sins.” The name Jesus means “The Lord Saves” or “The Lord Is Salvation.” Whether you spell it Jesus or Jesu or Joshua or Yeshua, the meaning stays the same, and it has nothing whatsoever to do with Zeus. Names can and do translate. Changing a name from one language to another does not change the meaning of the name, nor does it change the character or identity of the person. Elizabeth becomes Elixabete, Isabella, Zsoka, or Eliska, depending on the language. But she remains the same girl. A man named Stephen can be called Stephanos, Stefan, Estevao, Teppo, or Estebe, depending on where in the world he is. But he is the same person, regardless of what we call him. Similarly, Jesus and Yeshua refer to the same Person—and it’s not Zeus. We use the name Jesus, an Anglicized transliteration of the Greek, because Greek is the language that Matthew and Mark and Luke and John wrote their Gospels in and because English is the language we speak. The best translation of Iésous into modern English is “Jesus.” Part of Timothy’s work as a pastor was to “command certain people not to teach false doctrines any longer or to devote themselves to myths” ( 1 Timothy 1:3–4). Paul was concerned that “such things promote controversial speculations rather than advancing God’s work— which is by faith” (verse 4). Conspiracy theories and myths regarding the etymology of Jesus’ name are distractions from the true work of God. We should not pay any heed to claims that the name Jesus means anything but what Scripture says it means: “The Lord Saves.”

Jesus is a compound word. This may shock or disappoint you, but the very name Jesus is not in the Greek of your bible. In fact, the word you find is Iesous (Mark 1:1); which is a combination of Jah and Zeus put together like the Romans were known to do to make peace with the rapidly grew new sect of Nazarites (Matthew 21:11), a separate Israelite sect (Numbers 6:2).

Zeus(just like jesus), was known as "The Rock of All Ages!!! This was revealed in the book known as "The Secret Teachings of All Ages" by Manly P. Hall!!!

And just like Jesus, Zeus was in danger from the moment he was born!!! He had to be hidden as a baby!!!

In the Bible, Judas Iscariot betrays Jesus in an attempt to gain favor with the high priests. The story is told from the perspective of Jesus, who had compassion on his disciple and forgave him. Learn more about christan faith guide product on online.
