A leader must pursue balance. Let me give you the picture of balance.Draw a circle and divide the departments of your life, draw lines in the circle to meet at the centre of the circle. Every line from the centre to the circumference represents the departments of your life: spiritual, marital, physical, financial, social and so on.

Start thinking of balance from that diagram and look at the strongest area or department in your life and use it as the reference point for your balance. You must not balance your life in mediocrity by using the lowest common denominator of your life but by identifying your greatest accomplishment and seeking to balance it all at that level. When people don’t have strong leadership sense, they come into a state of life that they are satisfied in mediocrity. When you come across a leadership spirit, a leadership force or a leadership thought, it disturbs any area of mediocrity (be it physical, spiritual, financial etc.) in your life. So, look at the strongest area of your life and jack up every other area to that level. Use strongest point to bring up every other area.

For example, if you are very strong at reading, begin to acquire reading taste for something positive. Some people spend hours in front of the television, so you have already formed a habit of that: change the content of what you are watching to materials that will develop you. God wants you to be balanced!

PRAYER: Lord, I pray for wisdom to apply balance and come out of mediocrity in every area of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen!
