Build your own solar panel system for your home and resell the surplus solar power
Hmm. Cost like how much?

Can we have situation where we explore rent-to-own schemes. Invest in solar power installation in homes and get them to pay a monthly rent that accumulates (with interest and premium factored) and they become owners after a specific period. This is what I think will be more enticing. Nobody wants to deal with another behemoth in "micro-Discos", we already have enough headaches.

Best short term solution.

1. Can we get stats/numbers to justify this? from a TCO perspective?
there are numerous studies and stats by reputable online media at present solar is around 0.20c per watt, by the time you add the cost of other infrastructure e.g. inverter batteries we are talking of about 1$/w. at that rstevitvwill take close to a decade to recoup your investments, by the time you factor in efficiency of solar panels, which will not be outputting 100% of their rated power
