Officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC Osun state command went on "Operation Flush out illegal Private Guards" in Osun state. Many private guards were arrested and sensitization was made in some private institutions visited. See pictures below;

The ones that manage to secure lives and properties, are being flushed out.
Majority of these people are retired force men and are way experienced than the serving.

So what is the procedure for being a private guard? If regulation based on general security concern is needed I support it. But it should not be through gra gra means.

Regulation could be by local councils. Not another bureaucratic way to frustrate or avenue for whoever regulates to fleece people of money.
