If you want to scare people away from a scene as an armed security personnel, you shoot in the air and not parallel shooting. If the government begins to withdraw your guns now, the civilians would suffer it because since NSCDC has been armed, crime had been curtailed a great deal. They are even more active than our so called police.

Why should civil defence carry fire arms in the first place? They should be given batons abs those guns withdrawn from them.

Until NSCDC restricts it's core functions to it's constitutional ROE which mainly are monitoring and protection of pipelines and supervision of private security guard Companies ( the much I know), this kind of accidents will keep on occurring.
Remember that just recently, a bus-load of Passengers was chased into the dangerous milking hill valley in Enugu where all the passengers lost their lives.
