The groom doesn't have money to complete the marriage rites, however he can afford to hire Policemen to arrest and manhandle the bride's parents. He also did not try to solve it amicably with the elders of his family and chieftains of his clan/tribe before going to the police. The bride might have dodged a bullet If the parents can, let them return what he has spent so far and dissolve the marriage. He doesn't even see them as inlaws. 1 Like |

Tradition is tradition. You wan marry wife, but you too broke to perform the full customary rites. You want to make her laughing stock, especially as her sister's rites were fully carried out.
