On the contrary, Olu Maintains Yahooze is the perfect example of a song that encouraged this decay, and is far more relevant

I could remember one particular evening while having a nap in my room back then in the uni.,I heard this yahoo guys (my neighbours) making a phone call to a supposed bank manager,brokering a deal with him. They had just hammered a $500k scam,and were looking forward to getting the money transfered through the manger's bank. The manager was telling them that he will take 60% of the share. As i dey hear dem dey talk,na so hot sweat dey drop from my body,and like sey i dey dream. I almost decided to confront them and threaten to expose them,so that they will give me something. And I also had the thought of reporting them to the police,from their i could get something as a whistleblower. But up till now i no know wetin i do with that secret,upon sey i needed money badly then,and all my options would have fetched me good money. #God dey sha!

What do you expect a graduate whom has been and still searching for job over 5 years?

Faced with:
-Ridicule he succumbs to drugs,
-Rejected by females, he takes on rape due to finances
-Intimidated by peers, he takes on kidnapping & robbery
-Rather than stare at the ceiling all day, he rather takes on yahoo atleast to be hopeful eventually adds ritual to plus it up.

And we all ask ourselves, he used to be a brilliant guy, straight A's, good result, Godly child... what happened to him. Well the Govt never provided the basics and he had no helper.

Look around you, we are all scattered around in different categories and stages.

Empathy and kindness changes the world.

We have lost sense of value.
Black mentality,, We make money just to flaunt it and feel validated and recognised. It's like a slave trying so hard to prove he's not a slave. He's now free from his oppressors and poverty.
Sadly even though he's financially free, he's still mentally and psychologically in a lock down.

We need to have a sense of value. The real wealth and freedom is in touching lives with your money. How many consider you a blessing. How many will turn up to cry if anything were to happen to you today?. How much projects have you put in place to secure your future and others?

Masturbation is your business, even if it's a sin, it destroys you and you alone with it's effects, the Yahoo destroys you and also completely corrupts society. lt affects others on a large scale.
Let me put it this way, if l masturbate continuously, l'll get to the point where l begin to notice l ejaculate easily or my erection gets weaker. lf l love myself, then l'll stop by reducing the rate at which l read the romance section of Nairaland, by not reading or watching porn, by going after women and changing my tactics, or at least redirecting my mind to new passions. I'd be easily forced to do this because of my negative experience of masturbation.
With the Yahoo epidemic, you make your money and it hardly affects you personally, rather the effect is more paramount on others, and on the society at large and this directly breaks the Golden rule( do not do unto others what you do not want them to do unto you).
You also would not care about the image of Nigeria in the light of opportunities for Nigerians who go abroad because it may not affect you directly.
So while l agree that sin is sin, the Yahoo epidemic is more dangerous to society in the light of all these.
