Owerri West receives Ihedioha

His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Emeka Nkem Ihedioha, CON, was in Owerri West Local Government today in continuation of his consultation visit with party members across the LGA. The visit which He described as “Ida Nti” (tete-a-tete), offered him the ample opportunity to engage the members of the party across the LGA on the need to reposition and rebuild the party ahead of 2019. His Excellency noted that the PDP must look beyond delegates for victory to be achieved in 2019. According to him, while meeting of delegates could grant one temporary victory of party tickets, reawakening the consciousness of party members across the state will guarantee a sure victory at the pools in 2019, hence His reason for adopting the “Ama Jehovah” (Jehovah Witnesses) style of consultation.

Chief Ihedioha reassured the party members of his determination and commitment to leading the party to victory come 2019. He stressed that Imo as at today needs a specialist who will know the appropriate solution for every problem. According to him, Imo dept profile as at today is at 103B and the implication is that “the State must pay back these debts”. Chief Ihedioha pointed out that if given the opportunity to fly the party ticket by great party members, He will not only return PDP to Dauglas house, but will offer a people oriented leadership to Imo People.

He emphasized on his determination to conduct Local government election in the state within the first six months of his administration and at the same time grant them autonomy to develop the rural areas. For Chief Ihedioha as a Governor, what matters is how productive the LGAs are and not how to share their allocations. Education will no doubt receive a significant boost in Ihedioha’s Government. The former deputy speaker observed that Education as at today in Imo is in its lowest ebb, noting that “under his watch, laboratories will be equipped, libraries stocked with books and computers, workers welfare across the state will be given priority and discipline shall be restored in our schools”.

It’s important to note that Chief Ihedioha noted how he singlehandedly made the drainage of Nwa Orie river which initially was a State project, a federal government project. His contributions to the upgrading of NTA Owerri and Heartland FM Owerri to international standards were also highlighted and appreciated by the people. Ihedioha’s message of hope has continued to penetrate inside the masses and there is no doubt that the People’s Democratic Party will take over power come 2019.

Chief Ihedioha was received by the LGA chairman, Hon. Azuatalam, members of the party executive in the LGA and across the wards, leaders and members of Team Ihedioha, Ihedioha Youth Movement and members of other support groups of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha. The Hon. Member representing Owerri Federal Constituency, Hon. Ezenwa Onyewuchi, was also o ground to show solidarity with Chief Emeka Nkem Ihedioha.

As the visit moves to Oru East tomorrow, will Ihedioha’s brand stop shining? The answer is definitely No.
