This is nonsense and cowardly done. What are the decisions arrived at?. They should not even move their cattle from any point to any point. If they meet a lone woman in her farm, they must rape her first before anything else. So you did not consider this. Enugu and coward crying round shaped governor are rice and stew.

This is a peace of the Grave Yard. Any agreement with Fulani does not hold water. The believe so much in the doctrine of Taqquiya as expounded by Mohammed, the prophet of Islam. Deception simply.

There's no need to strike a peace deal with a known terrorist. Fulani herdsmen are evil that should be avoided by all means and keep them in check.
Little by little, they will start establishing their emirate and councils in order to dominate the natives and rule over them.

So finally this zom-bie has resurfaced with his dullness and myopic reasoning. Benue state and Enugu are not the same. Whereas the Fulani terrorists are having a field day terrorizing and using benue indigenes as objects for target practice, the same cannot be said in Enugu. The rate of killings in benue cannot happen in any south eastern state. Even the foolanis know this.

Are you referring to dsame Enugu where several villages where ransacked and hundreds of persons killed, And the governor was crying lick a toddler? ABI u dey wait make dem kill tens of thousands first.........when u need iPod d most,....just imagine u comparing numbers of persons killed.

When you open a thread allow readers to express their views before you conclude.

Cattle rearing is simply seen as a trade by people in the South East, they won't attack a Fulani herdsman who carries out his business according to the law.
They value human life and are appalled by what is happening in Benue State and one of the groups that has sent relief materials to IDPs in Benue is Ohaneze Ndigbo, Gov Wike even donated N200m.

Despite the atrocities perpetrated by Benue indigenes against Igbos during the civil war the Igbos will always come to their aid as our close door neighbours.
There is a saying in Igbo 'onuru ube nwanne agbala oso' meaning when you hear your neighbours cry don't abandon him or her.

As a person who has lived most of his life in the North, I can tell you that the only tribe in Nigeria that the Fulani man respects are the Igbos for their ingenuity and business acumen and ability to look them in the face, you can ask them and Igbos also respect the Fulanis for their political sagacity in Nigeria.
The Fulanis also know that if you remove federal government military support and on a level playing field the Igbos can also be ferocious in dealing and taking revenge when attacked.

Buhari had to deploy federal might to brutally suppress an Nnamdi Kanu who was only armed with loudspeakers and microphone out of existing Fulani paranoia for the Igbos not to sell their bravery to other tribes under Fulani occupation, this is not obtainable in Benue.

Which Igbo man represented the farmers? All we have are some strangers making comments as if talking to themselves. Just as anyone who has visited the north knows that you are expected to abide by their culture whether you like it or not,Enugu people and by extension any other southern state MUST give base line conditions of having these people in their communities. They must respect fully the culture and traditions of the hosts. It is complete balderdash for anybody to talk about mutual respect of cultures and traditions. If they are not happy with what they meet on the ground, then they have the option of leaving the place. There is no way they can like the culture and traditions of every other community. But they must make do with the situation they find wherever they go.

Fulani herdsmen have never been known to uphold any peace deal , they rather use the lull to study their victims better for the moment they will resume hostilities ....I dare anyone to go back in history and show me just one peace agreement the Fulanis have upheld , just one ..

Stop talking with this aura of authority of Nigerian history.. The Fulani are men of their words.. I can go on and citing examples but I'll just give one... The treaty between El-Kanemi and Bello stands till this day!

This is the same 'peace' deal the hausas made with the Fulanis/Uthman Dan fodio before the jihadist and islamist takeover of the northern part of Nigeria.

Any peace deal made by the Muslims (Fulanis), the Islamic best of mankind (Qur'an 3:110) and the dirty kafirs (the Igbo Christians), the Islamic worst of creatures (Quran 98:6) is a waste of time. The fulanis quest to plunder and conquer can never be tamed but only crushed.

Arabs/Fulani Muslims are not known to be diplomats but forceful beings.

My Igbo people disappointed me here.

Cattle breeders and farmers in Enugu have entered into an agreement that will ensure peaceful co-existence.

The meeting was attended by leaders of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, Enugu State chapter of All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) and other stakeholders.

Briefing reporters, Southeast Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, Alhaji Gidado Siddiki, said the gathering was strategic to foster peace.

He said the meeting was to dispel insinuations that herders were in the state to terrorise host communities.

“The essence of this meeting is to bring farmers and herders together for interaction so that we will know ourselves as well as dispel rumour that we are here to terrorise.

“We are here to feed our cattle. This meeting will bring us together so that farmers will feel at home when they see cattle breeders.

“The cattle breeders will equally take members of their host communities as their brothers and sisters,” Siddiki said.

He said the meeting was attended by state chairmen of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association in the region.

“Since most of the grazers migrate from one state to the other, we brought state chairmen here.

“The essence is to inform them that whenever something happens and it involves somebody that comes from another state, I will call the chairman to resolve it.

“The agreement is that we will promote peace between ourselves through this type of meeting, which will be held regularly,” Siddiki said.

He said any issue beyond the groups’ leaders would be directed to the Central Peace Committee at the state level.

“We also made it known that we have a Peace and Security Committee at the Government House.

“Whenever something we cannot resolve happens at the local level, we take it to the committee for final decision,” Siddiki said.

AFAN’s Chairman Mr. Sunny Watarali said the meeting ushered in better understanding between the groups.

He noted that both groups need to respect the culture and tradition of each other.

Watarali said host communities would not allow cows messed up their source of drinking water.

“The grey areas have been sorted out. Both parties are to respect each other; respect the culture.

“For example, you do not carry cows to urinate in the river. This is the source of drinking water.

“Again, if for any reason the cow does anything wrong, our people should be patient and report, rather than resorting to self-help.

“If we can do that, such mutuality will bring about better understanding and peace,” he said.

Watarali said the meeting was expected to be replicated in rural areas.

“Subsequent meeting will be held at local governments where farmers live.

“I believe if we do that, we will achieve peace,” he said

That is welcome news, we have had cattle herdsman come nearby our farm but as we have a boundary fence they never encroach. To the best of my knowledge farms nearby to us that don't have boundaries have not had any problems with the herdsmen. The herdsmen that come nearby by Jessam farms tend to look for bush rather than cultivated fields. There have been serious problems with some herdsmen but I believe most are good they have been doing this for 100 of years. We should however point to the fact that some politicians and gangsters have have hired thugs/murderers who operate under the guise of being herdsmen to freely move up and down the country carrying out their evil deeds of religious and ethnic cleansing.

Please people do not mock any attempts of anyone offering peace, especially from the good ones of any group who are rightful/wrongly accused of being bad. The evil committed by Nigerians to Nigerians is both inter tribal, inter religious, inter sex, inter class, inter age. If we have failed and know we have failed we can only try to make it better for the kids and for the generations to come.

God bless all those seeking peace, religious tolerance and ethnic coexistence. God bless those who want the black race to prosper and realize we can not prosper if we kill each other.

Anyways lets me use this opportunity to introduce you to Jessam cattle ranch & farms aims to be a major player in the meat industry and help stop the importation of cheap, rotten, chemical induced meat from being dumped in Nigeria, often slowly ruining our health .

Slow and steady Jessam will grow to be a strong brand in food industry. We are based in Enugu. We rear livestock including Cattle, pigs, goats, poultry, ducks.
