Is it a crime or a taboo for A Muslim man to get married to A christain lady, without the family being a barrier?

A friend of mine going through this and needs to be advised on what to do.

Be it a friend or you, what you asked isn't a taboo however in a religious sentimental country as ours, that table you want to shake isn't gonna be a fair ride unless the both parents ain't radical and sentimental and also the lady's parents are ready to see their daughter convert cuz that's what's gonna happen

I wonder why two people want to get married when they don't believe the same thing(spiritual-wise)?Well,if the families are not radical,they may allow it.
Not a recommendation anyway.

It's neither a crime nor a taboo but it's going to be a challenge and one of you would have to convert.

Not advised, at all... unless she has plans to convert to Islam along the line. Marriages where both partners are Muslims or both Christians get a bunch of challenges along the way let alone a couple with different beliefs.
Advise your friend not to do it, for the sake of her future and the future of her unborn children. Marriage isn't the easiest of journeys, no need to compound it.
