Like everyone else, you're entitled to your opinion. But the fact is, in a service-based business it's very very possible. The main expenses is the cost of setting up a website and advertising. Others are negligible. You can work from home, so you don't need an office to start with.

Let me show you an example with my CV writing business.

This is a business I started with less than N20,000.

The only startup expenses I made are:

1. Business name registration for CV Wizards. (I started as CV Wizards, but after a little restructuring, decided to go with my name 3 years ago. If you're an old member here on Nairaland, chances are you must have come across the name, CV Wizards a few times).

I already had a laptop, so there was no need for me to get another.
