REPORT FROM IBADAN MEETING
Arising from Johesu 2nd mobilization and sensitization meeting held on 22nd of May, 2018 at NANNM Secretariat, Oluyole Estate Extention , Ibadan, Oyo State.
The JOHESU leaders and delegates at the meeting resolved that the strike action embarked upon by JOHESU since 17th of April,2018 should continue for the following reasons:
1. That the JOHESU national leaders had sought audience with President Buhari through a particular political close to him, and as a result of that, Mr President has directed Minister of Health to either resolve with JOHESU or tender his resignation letter.
2. The minister and the ministry as a result Mr President directive as explained above, embarked on fruitless exercise to get court injunction through proxy to frustrate us in order to protect himself from Mr President imminent wrath.
3. Ministry of labour,National income,salaries & wages commission and other related agencies are in support of JOHESU members except ministry of health.
4. That JOHESU has reached a point of no return, and that we can't call off the strike at this time we are having upper hand over the ministry of doctors. That it is now or never!
The leader frowned at our members sabotaging effort to deliver ourselves from professional bondage, and advised them to deceased from act of sabotage immediately, for the struggle is for the benefit of all of us( both Senior and Junior Staff).
JOHESU leaders also commended the members' doggedness and perseverance in this struggle with encouragement to hold forth as our victory is near now than ever in the history of JOHESU struggle.
