Good move by FG. If they don't resume, sack them all and request that they bring back all the hospital keys they took. Put up vacancy adverts and they'll be replaced in no time.

Or better still, share johesu salary amongst doctors and see the wonders they can do. It will even be a cheaper option, even if it's 70% of johesu salary. For example, if johesu salary is supposed to be N10m, tell the doctors to do their work and this N10M will be shared amongst them. The hospital will run at 150%.
Pathologists will takeover the lab.
200/300l medical students will takeover nurses.
100l medical students will takeover the pharmacists. (even wassce holder can takeover).
If traditional practitioners are doing physiotherapist work, then doctors can do it as well.
Aboki is already doing optometrist work.
Cleaners and gatemen can be employed on contract. Even patient relatives will be glad to volunteer

Bros, It is obvious you are dreaming in the day induced by stress and frustration following JOHESU strike action, wake up now I beg. Rather if you must dream, I urge you instead to dream in the night so that you will perceive reality better. In the recent history of health sector, this is a complete lockdown. like one US President once said, when injustice becomes a law and modus operandi, resistance and civil disobedience become the order of the day. Current crop of JOHESU are saying enough is enough to the injustice and rot in the NMA led health sector which is among the worst in the globe.

Una go release memo tire.

At least, it will open doors for some that don't have leg.Its not easy to enter luth. You will be surprised with the number of people that would apply. Golden opportunity for some.

Johesu is not as powerful as they think. Equating ourselves with Lecturers is a big Joke. Also Lecturers didn't get everything they requested. In fact the 6months strike ended when the government asked a register to be opened in each institution, and any lecturer that doesn't resume should consider his job lost.
ur father is a lecturer abi?
u better mind what u say. when people that has more than one family member in tertiary institution lecturing are telling u about the strike, u better check what u say in return.
all their demands were implemented and the notice of sack only played to their hands. I still remember vividly how my father and uncle were laughing when they heard the news. they were like they wish the new recruits all the best and busted into further laughter.
Sack is the highest threat in any occupation, once there is failure to implement it.... then the end has come for FMH/NMA in the matter..... so they better make good their threat

This strike will test the might of Johesu..... in the next few days we will know how strong they are, when the FMH starts to implement it's sack agenda

Luth has started employing locum nurses.Lagos state government has employed hundreds of chew and drafted them on standby to replace nurses.

locum nurses?..... is that a course to celebrate?
no it is not. locum are not permanent staffs and can never be. Before now there were locum nurses, pharmacists and others in Luth....who were renewing their appointment on a 2 months basis.
let them issue sack notice to all johesu members and employ permanent staffs, all these ones they are doing is called medicine after death.

The way u are hyping this locum job, people will think it's opening for permanent job. once the strike ends most of them will lose their locum jobs. People who most likely will apply for this are fresh school leavers( and what do these ones actually have to offer?), no experienced nurse will leave his or her job in any institution to apply for a locum job, where there is no job security beyond 2 Months and who are not entitled to any right once they are sacked or even if they retire. let All the CMD's/MD's fully carry out the sack threat.... then experienced hands will apply, and not amateurs. u see the kind of health sector ur selfishness wants to create?.... smh

Why did the Minister indict himself by signing an agreement that he knew he wouldn't implement while he implemented that of Doctors?

Why is he offering 25% of the said CONHESS adjustment? Or why doesn't he want to apply the adjustment for all Grade Levels in CONHESS?

The Doctors claimed that that skipping of CONHESS is illegal but it was applied in the adjustment of CONMESS.

The Minister has shown that he is biased and incompetent to run the health sector.

Now, he has come out with a circular 'ordering' the Board Chairmen to sack JOHESU members and advertise for their positions. Is that how it's done all over the world?

Why do you hate JOHESU so much

Part of the demands of JOHESU is the employment of more of their professionals. So no big deal. They'll collect the letters of appointment and continue with the strike.

JOHESU replaces Johesu. When next they go on strike, they'll still employ more. The Chain reaction continues until they do the right thing.

They would be regularised, it happened when Lagos State sacked doctors earlier.

The federal ministry of health have ordered the armophous group called Johesu to resume work in 72hrs or consider themselves to have absconded from work. This comes after series of failed negotiation with the group, despite efforts made by the government to make them see reason why they have be handed the biggest hand of fellowship and are the most pampered Civil servants in the country today.

Currently a nurse with postgraduate college of Nursing, who is just a diploma holder, starts at the same point as a graduate with BSC, but earns even higher. They begin work at level 8, while other diploma courses begin at level 6. Also, Pharmacy, Lab technicians ( glorified as Scientist), run their course for 5yrs, have almost 2 of those years as IT years and still do 1 post graduation internship, meaning their real study years is actually just 3yrs. These courses are just about 3-4yrs in advanced countries and they never equate themselves with Medical Doctors.

With the circular pass it is only hoped the armophous body will learn a lesson that they can teach up coming hospital support staffs.

Bros which IT na

We run our programme straight without IT with rotation (various department in the teaching hospital) from 300L through till you graduate same as you guys. There's no IT in the curriculum for MLS dunno where in the world MLS goes for IT (maybe a figment of your own imagination).

From 300l we start laboratory rotations while still in school with other courses just like MBBS in their clinical year. The only thing that looks like IT that is peculiar to both MLS and medicine is the post graduate IT (internship and housemanship alike).
Please very your claims before posting online. Quit spreading lies and falsehood to gain cheap points.

Even in countries where mls is 4 years not 3 years you still do a pre med before starting with the remaining part of the 4 years so do the maths (pre med is 1 year plus 4 uninterrupted study years)

Just like traditional doctors and chemists are taking jobs of doctors as we speak. Tradition bone setters taking jobs of orthopedic docs, TBAs taking that of gynecologists etc.

You sound like a child. And if you are a doctor, I pray I never meet you in a clinical setting because all you know might be malaria treatment.
