On Thursday, 31st May, 2018, President Muhammadu Buhari signed the Not-Too-Young-To-Run Bill into Law, the Fourth Alteration Act to the 1999 Constitution.

This bill (now a law, after signing) reduced the age of eligibility to contest for Presidency from 40 to 35, and that of House of Representatives and State Houses of Assembly from 30 to 25.
