Please help UNDP spread the word about SDGs&Her, a competition for women who own and/or lead microenterprises. UNDP along with UNWomen are partnering with the World Bank, which has organized this competition.

The submission phase of the competition closes on June 30, just less than two months away. We hope that you can share information about SDGs&Her via social media and to all your partners, especially country-based organizations and CSOs that support women owned/led micro-enterprises. For social media, please look at the sample tweets below or draft your own and pair them with powerful, positive images of women entrepreneurs from your country/region.

Please note that for this initial year of the competition the website and entry materials are only in English.

Here are the facts:

Who is Eligible: Women who own and/or lead microenterprises (1-9 employees; businesses under USD $10,000 loan eligibility OR annual sales under $100,000).

To Enter: Complete a short online template, describing their work and showing how their initiative/product helps achieve one or more SDGs.

Prizes: The top winners will be recognized at an event at the margins of the 2018 UN General Assembly High-Level Week in New York. The stories of the winning women entrepreneur (and many other notable entries) will be shared through partners’ social media and websites.

Partners: World Bank Group, Wharton Business School Zicklin Center, UN Development Programme (UNDP) and UN_Women

Deadline: June 30, 2018.
